Yuk Yuk’s Great Canadian Laugh Off

Why go out to the clubs when YUK YUK’s GREAT CANADIAN LAUGH OFF brings a big night out to the small screen?

The laughs are on us Saturday, July 3 at 9 p.m. ET/PT when eight comedians go head-to-head in an ultimate comedy smack-down for a shot at fame and $25,000, exclusively on The Comedy Network.

The hour-long special highlights The Comedy Network’s ongoing commitment to showcase the funniest up-and-comers on the comedy circuit.

Hosted by YUK YUK’s founder Mark Breslin, the YUK YUK’s GREAT CANADIAN LAUGH OFF showcases hilarious sets from each finalist.

The laughs come courtesy of Darcy Michael, Tim Gilbert, David Baker, LA (Laurie-Ann) King, Martha Chaves, Landry, Patrick Haye  and ultimate winner Tom Dustin.

The comedians perform in front of four prestigious judges, including The Comedy Network’s Director of Content, Michelle Daly; Just For Laughs Festival COO Bruce Hills, THE TONIGHT SHOW WITH CONAN O’BRIEN Talent Coordinator Ashley Olivia and Eddie Brill, Comedy Booker for THE LATE SHOW WITH DAVID LETTERMAN.

Evaluated on material, delivery, timing, stage presence and audience response, Tom Dustin wins big bucks with his smart, original material, his unmatched likeability and endearingly self-deprecating style.

Like a best bud, Tom Dustin tells it like it is….. just a lot funnier!:

If you’re a guy, and you’re naked in bed with a girl, and you’re about to make whoopee and she says, “wait, I have….”, I promise you nothing good is coming next. It’s always going to be “wait, I have my period”, or “wait, I have syphilis”, or “wait, I have a dick.”  It’s never going to be something you what like “wait, I have a twin!”

Born in Boston, Massachusetts, Tom Dustin started his stand-up comedy career in 2001. Within his first year as a stand-up comedian, he won the “Sam Adams Comedy Contest,” beating out more than 50 comics. Tom has worked with comedy legends Steven Wright, Lenny Clarke, Dave Attell, Doug Stanhope, Bobby Collins, Lisa Lampanelli and the cast of WHOSE LINE IS IT ANYWAY?
