“Citytv is pleased to bring viewers the television event of the summer, celebrating the 10th anniversary of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire,” commented Malcolm Dunlop, Executive Vice

excitement among viewers as they play along at home.”

This time around ‘Millionaire’ turns up the excitement with a few changes while keeping all the strongest elements from the original show. In this special edition fans will not only be able to play along with the regular contestants, but they will get the chance to play along with some of their favourite stars! At the end of each episode guest celebrities including: Katy Perry (Pop Star), Lauren Conrad (The Hills) Snoop Dog (Rapper), Steve Nash (NBA player), Rachael Ray (The Rachael Ray Show), Vanessa Williams (Ugly Betty) and others, will be asked a single question in order to win $50,000 for their favourite charity. — Record-breaking trivia guru Ken Jennings offers his expertise in five consecutive episodes next week —

Toronto, ON (October 31, 2008) – WHO WANTS TO BE A MILLIONAIRE contestants may be seeing green when game show maverick Ken Jennings sits in as a resident “Expert” on the popular game show next week, beginning Monday, November 3 at 5 p.m. ET on ‘A’ (visit Atv.ca to confirm local broadcast times). Holding the longest winning streak in game show history, Jennings won 74 consecutive episodes of JEOPARDY! in 2004, making him the perfect go-to man for MILLIONAIRE’s new “Ask The Expert” lifeline.

The “Ask The Expert” lifeline allows contestants to connect with a pre-determined “Expert” via a live face-to-face Skype video call on any question over the $1,000 level. Jennings has informed contestants that his categories of strength are Books, Movies and Geography, but to steer clear of turning to him when it comes to Sports and Reality Television. Hosted by the Emmy Award-winning Meredith Vieira (TODAY), MILLIONAIRE premiered its seventh season this past September.

Prior to his record-breaking appearance on JEOPARDY!, Jennings worked for National Academic Quiz Tournaments (NAQT), where he wrote and edited quiz questions for nationwide high school and college quiz tournaments. Jennings now freelances as a writer and has written two books, including Ken Jennings Trivia Almanac: 8,888 Questions in 365 Days (2008) and Brainiac: Adventures in the Curious, Competitive, Compulsive World of Trivia Buffs (2006).

Jennings joins previous “Experts” Bill Nye the Science Guy, actor Jay Thomas (MURPHY BROWN), HEADLINE NEWS’ Robin Meade and former MILLIONAIRE contestants Ogi Ogas ($500,000 winner) and Nancy Christy ($1 million winner).
