warehouse-13The Toronto-shot sci-fi series Warehouse 13 has been renewed for a fifth season by Syfy.

Production will commence on the final season of the show in Toronto this summer for a 2014 release.

Warehouse13Showcase has announced the return date for Warehouse 13.

Following on from the mid-season cliffhanger, the new 10-episode run will premiere on May 5 at 10pm ET/PT.

Picking up from the stunning, mid-season finale cliffhanger, Artie (Saul Rubinek) has infected the Warehouse Team – and the world – with the Black Orchid artifact’s deadly “Sweating Sickness” disease.

If Pete (Eddie McClintock), Myka (Joanne Kelly), Claudia (Allison Scagliotti) and Steve (Aaron Ashmore) can’t reverse what Artie has done, the world will be engulfed by the deadliest pandemic since the Dark Ages. But the team is already succumbing to the disease’s symptoms as they race to prevent the artifact’s sickness from spreading before it stops them.
