W Network’s Undercover Boss Canada ends Season One with a “budda boom” as John Rothschild, CEO of Prime Restaurants Inc., trades his suit for an apron to work on the front lines of popular Canadian family restaurant chain, East Side Mario’s.

The Undercover Boss Canada finale will leave viewers with an appetite for more when it airs Thursday, November 8 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on W Network.

In the final episode of the season. John Rothschild, CEO of Prime Restaurants Inc., which has over 140 casual dining restaurants in Canada and the U.S., including East Side Mario’s, goes undercover in the restaurant in a bid to check the front lines of the business. Continue reading »

Corus Entertainment’s W Network announced today the names of the 10 companies who will be featured on Undercover Boss Canada this fall.

From fisheries to the oil and gas sector to hockey, viewers will have an inside look at iconic Canadian industries and meet the new bosses from Canlan Ice Sports Corp, Cooke Aquaculture, East Side Mario’s, Home Hardware, PJ’s Pets, Premiere Van Lines, Purdy’s Chocolates, Tervita Corporation, T&T Supermarket Inc and the Victorian Order of Nurses (VON), who are pushed to their limits with grittier and grimier tasks.

Corus Entertainment’s W Network is pleased to announce that its hit series from Alliance Films, Undercover Boss Canada has been renewed for 30 additional episodes.

Production is underway on the next 10 episodes, scheduled to air in Fall 2012. Season One of Undercover Boss Canada averaged a weekly audience of 545,000 (2+) and reached an episode high of 617,000.

The series averaged a weekly audience of 144,000 for Women 25-54, making it the third highest rated program on specialty this broadcast year.

Canada’s largest fitness company, GoodLife Fitness (Jane Riddell, COO) and resort and destination community innovators, Skyline International Development (Michael Sneyd, CEO) join the series which follows 10 executives as they leave the comfort of their offices to go undercover in their own companies.

• Pizza Pizza – CEO Paul Goddard goes undercover in the nation’s number one pizza mega brand, and learns that making dough and delivering pizza serves up some challenges he never imagined.

• 1-800-GOT-JUNK? – Founder and CEO Brian Scudamore goes undercover as a driver and junk collector, hauling loads of unwanted clutter in the world’s largest junk removal franchise, and comes out collecting something much more valuable.

• Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) – City Councillor and TTC Chair Karen Stintz goes undercover inside the country’s largest mass transit system to get her hands dirty with some of the toughest and grittiest jobs.

• Molson Coors Canada – With CEO Dave Perkins being too recognizable for the job, Chief Legal Officer Kelly Brown steps in to see what’s brewing and gets down to the basics of beer production in Canada’s oldest and most famous brewery.

• Second Cup – Stacey Mowbray, CEO of Canada’s largest specialty coffee company goes undercover and gets into the grind serving lattes to get an edge on customer service and revive her connection with frontline workers.

• Cineplex Entertainment – CEO Ellis Jacob goes undercover doling out snacks and tickets while assessing how to enhance the moviegoer experience within Canada’s largest motion picture exhibitor across the board.

• FedEx Express Canada – Lisa Lisson, the first female president of FedEx Express Canada, goes undercover to find out if her employees have the right resources to provide exceptional service in the fiercely competitive courier industry.
