The Pacific

band-of-brothersSteven Spielberg and Tom Hanks are having another crack at a WWII miniseries.

The pair, who worked on Band of Brothers (2001) and The Pacific (2010), are developing a new HBO series that will explore the aerial battles of the time.

The untitled project will use the non-fiction book ‘Masters of the Air: America’s Bomber Boys Who Fought the Air War Against Nazi Germany’ by Donald L. Miller as source material.

Both Spielberg and Hanks will serve as executive producers with Hanks’ Playtone and Spielberg’s Amblin Television production houses.
