The Marriage Ref

Sunday, August 21 at 10pm ET/PT (9CT, 8MT) on Citytv

In this all-new episode of The Marriage Ref, celebrity panelists J.B. Smoove, Larry Miller and Rachael Ray take turns hearing the cases of three feuding couples. An annoyed wife begs her husband to quit his habit of chewing on the television remote; a couple find themselves at odds over how many kitchen gadgets are appropriate to keep around; and a husband says he needs his wife to work at his cigar bar against her wishes. The hilarious panelists pick a winning spouse from each couple, leaving it to the studio audience to vote on which winner is the “Rightest of the Right.” Tom Papa hosts.

Jim Breuer, Caroline Rhea, and Nick Cannon are the all-new celebrity panel to join host Tom Papa on The Marriage Ref. The celebrities pick sides within each couple and the studio audience votes to determine the “Rightest of the Right.”

Celebrity panelists Kathy Griffin, Brian Regan and Ellen Pompeo bring the laughs as they choose sides between real-life husbands and wives. A wife wants her husband’s scrap metal pile out of their front yard, a husband wants his wife to stop spending money on her dollhouse, and a wife wants her husband to stop talking to strangers. Tom Papa hosts and the audience votes which winner is the “Rightest of the Right.”

The Marriage Ref is back and better than ever with even more big name celebrity judges, bickering married couples, awkward TMI moments and scorching one-liners.

Catch the all-new second season when The Marriage Ref premieres Sunday, June 26 at 10pm ET/PT (9CT, 7MT) only on Citytv. Full episodes available following broadcast on citytv.com.

In this funny and revealing comedy panel series, real-life married couples take centre stage as their quirky, funny, and relatable disputes are explored, examined — and ultimately judged.

For the sophomore run of The Marriage Ref, couples will appear in-studio and face a panel of celebrity “experts” who weigh in and decide which spouse is right.

The goal is to give couples something they have always wanted but have never had – a clear winner. At the end of each episode, the studio audience will vote to award one of the winners “The Rightest of The Right.”

That person will receive $25,000 and their very own billboard, in their hometown, declaring their title. Comedian Tom Papa (The Informant!) returns as the host and the “ref.”

In the season premiere of The Marriage Ref, watch Jerry Seinfeld, Julianne Moore and Ricky Gervais on the celebrity panel as they settle the disputes of three married couples with various battles – including a wife that is fed up with how much time her husband spends on his hobby of growing giant pumpkins.
