Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Jason Biggs and Sean Astin have signed on to voice two of the characters on the new Nickelodeon Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series.

Biggs, best known for his role in the American Pie movies, will voice Leonardo while Lord of the Rings actor Astin will voice Raphael.

Rob Paulsen, who voiced Raphael in the Turtles movie, will voice Donatello while Michelangelo will be played by Greg Cipes.

Astin told Entertainment Weekly that he is now a hero with his nephew, who grew up watching the originals eries.

“I was too old for them. My wife’s brother’s son – when he was 4 years old, he was sleeping in the Turtles sleeping bags, wearing the Turtles clothes, playing with the Turtles toys, watching the Turtles show.

“I remember we took him to DisneyWorld, and we got a private audience with the Turtles. I thought he was gonna have a heart attack. He was seized with terror and awe.”

The new series will feature CGI graphics as opposed to the cartoon animation style of the original.
