Welcome to the wet and wonderful world of TANKED, where owners Wayde King and Brett Raymer build tanks and aquariums for top celebrities, luxury hotels, Fortune 500 businesses, private homes and millionaire homeowners.
These massive and creatively-designed tanks are filled with some of the most extraordinary aquatic wildlife from around the globe.
Premiering Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/9 p.m. PT, beginning Nov. 7, TANKED is a six-part reality series set at the Las Vegas-based Acrylic Tank Manufacturing (ATM), founded by King and Raymer.
It’s not only the most successful, but the most monstrous, tank manufacturer in the United States. The larger-than-life duo are business partners, brothers-in-law, best friends, pranksters and constant rivals who are determined to create, build and unveil some of the most over-the-top aquariums the world has ever seen.
Working with opinionated and outrageous family and staff, Raymer and King take on jaw-dropping aquarium builds in intricate and interesting locations, including inside restaurants, casinos, banks, hotels, churches, offices, mansions, museums and zoos. Their tanks are for celebrities and ordinary Joes, building habitats for the most unusual and larger-than-life creatures in the world. But it’s not just about the boys – it’s a family affair, because they’re joined by Heather, King’s wife and Raymer’s sister, along with Raymer’s father, “The General;” and a motley crew of designers, engineers, installers, cleaners and builders – making them one big dysfunctional, brash and supersized family.
Highlights from TANKED include:
TANKED: “Brett Takes a Dive”
Monday, November 7 at 8 p.m. ET/9 p.m. PT
In the series premiere, King and Raymer must delve deep for a timely and practical solution when the Silverton Hotel’s massive mermaid tank needs a small interior re-design that requires a scuba dive to complete.
TANKED: “Swimming with the Sharks”
Monday, November 14 at 8 p.m. ET/9 p.m. PT
The team is in a pinch to get coral inserts into a recently-built tank at The Palms that has limited access. With no one small enough to enter the tank but King’s wife, Heather, she reluctantly agrees to get the job done only to arrive and find the tank filled with…sharks!
Also this season on TANKED, the ATM team gets creative to build a jukebox tank that blends in with the décor of the only free-standing 1950s diner in Vegas on “Rules of Engagement” (Nov 21). Then, King and Raymer ramp it up and design a keg tank with a working tap on “Be Cool” (Nov 28). Next, on “Good Karma,” a request for a precisely-constructed Feng Shui tank helps Raymer discover his zen, unlocking the gateway for inner peace and outward annoyance to his fellow ATM crew (Dec 5). And finally, the ATM team has a surprise in store for King’s birthday as they secretly begin building a tank in his office with his all-time favorite fish inside – an octopus! – on “Tricks of the Trade” (Dec 12).
