Spun Out

SPUNOUTPilotThe cameras have begun rolling on the new CTV comedy series Spun Out.

The series – from Project 10 Productions – is being filmed at Toronto’s Pinewood Studios and features a cast led by Dave Foley.

SPUNOUT PilotCTV has given the green light to a new half-hour Canadian comedy called Spun Out.

CTV announced today from the Prime Time in Ottawa conference it has ordered to series the new half-hour Canadian scripted comedy series SPUN OUT, starring Dave Foley (NEWS RADIO, KIDS IN THE HALL), Paul Campbell (BATTLESTAR GALACTICA), Rebecca Dalton (THE L.A. COMPLEX), Al Mukadam (RADIO FREE ROSCOE), Holly Deveaux (BAXTER), JP Manoux (COMMUNITY, ER), and Darcy Michael (ENDGAME).

From Project 10 Productions, CTV’s multi-cam office comedy is created by Jeff Biederman (LIFE WITH DEREK), Brent Piaskoski (ACCORDING TO JIM) and Brian K. Roberts (EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND), and is produced by Andrew Barnsley (HOTBOX). CTV has ordered 12 half-hour episodes in addition to the pilot shot last month in Toronto. Dave Foley has been cast in the lead role of the new CTV pilot Spun Out.

The sitcom veteran will take on the role of a fledgling PR firm boss, staffed with people who can spin everyone else’s problems but their own.

The multi-camera sitcom pilot also features Paul Campbell (Battlestar Galactica, Almost Heroes) as a disgraced writer who ends up working at the firm alongside Holly Deveaux (Less Than Kind), Al Mukadam (Radio Free Roscoe), Rebecca Dalton (The L.A. Complex) and J.P. Manoux (Community).

CTV announced today the pilot orders for two new original half-hour comedies, backed by some of Canada’s most successful TV comedy writers and producers.

From Halifax’s DHX Media comes ensemble comedy Satisfaction, written by Tim McAuliffe (Up All Night) and produced by Michael Donovan (Bowling for Columbine, This Hour Has 22 Minutes).
