There’s nothing funny about back-to-school, colder temperatures and the countdown to winter, but The Comedy Networks laughs it off with saucy specials, long-awaited returns and all-new hilarity.

Nothing says back to school like a blitz of hilarious specials including the killer ROAST OF CHARLIE SHEEN on Monday, Sept. 19 at 10 p.m. ET.

When the roasting is done, rock out with JUST FOR LAUGHS: AMP’D (Saturday, Sept. 24 at 10 p.m. ET), a hilarious mix of music and comedy from the 2011 Just for Laughs Festival, hosted by ”Weird Al” 

Yankovic and including the return of Tom Green’s Organized Rhyme. Then, leave it to comedian and ventriloquist Jeff Dunham to take it to the next level in a crazy, one-hour special, JEFF DUNHAM: CONTROLLED CHAOS (Sunday, Sept. 25 at 9 p.m. ET).

Nothing and no one is off limits when fan-favourite TOSH.0 returns Tuesday, Sept. 20 at 10 p.m. ET with more sarcastic dissections of pop culture and the funniest of online videos. The following night, catch the TV debut of online sensation and Ha-Ha-Halifax-based sketch comedy troupe Picnicface in PICNICFACE premiering Wednesday, Sept. 21 at 10:30 p.m. ET. Then, The Comedy Network gives viewers a reason to stay in on Friday nights with the new outrageous original series COCKTALES, a weekly panel of guys’ guys that give “let it all hang out” a whole new meaning, beginning Sept. 23 at 10 p.m. ET.

It was a powerful Spring on The Comedy Network and this Summer’s going to be a beast! The Comedy Network kicked butt in April as it was the most-watched month in the network’s history, ranking the channel as the #5 non-sports commercial specialty network in Canada.

April showered The Comedy Network with a weekly average of 3.7 million viewers aged 18-49. With big laughs on the horizon, returning fan favourites and hot new series premieres, The Comedy Network is set to deliver a hilarious summer lineup. 

This summer, two original Canadian productions, the Pythonesque sketch-series PICNICFACE (August, TBD) and the ground-breaking comedy-horror series, TODD & THE BOOK OF PURE EVIL (June 5 at 9 p.m. ET/ PT) come down the pipeline just in time to rev up viewers. The five-time GRAMMY®-nominated artist is roasted by a star-studded group of comedians and friends. 

Blame Canada, indeed! The Comedy Network’s broadcast of SOUTH PARK kicked some royal butt on Wednesday, winning its timeslot among total viewers and crowned the most-watched Specialty program of the day among adults18-34 (#1 non-sports among A18-49).

The Royal Wedding spoof drew a total of 246,000 total viewers for the Canuck-mocking episode entitled “Royal Pudding”, making it the most-watched broadcast of the series on The Comedy Network since 2009.

In the episode, the Bishop of Newfoundland marries the Prince of Canada and his bride in front of a congregation including Sir Bryan Adams and Sir Corey Hart.

Missed out on the mockery? “Royal Pudding” repeats tonight at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT, and again Tuesday, May 17 at 10:30 pm ET/PT, exclusively on The Comedy Network.

In “Royal Pudding,” Canadian dignitaries, including Sir Bryan Adams and Sir Corey Hart, have gathered to watch their prince wed his princess in a ceremony lead by the Bishop of Newfoundland. “Literally thousands” watch in horror as the princess is kidnapped by forces unknown. A call to arms is given for all citizens to track down the captor and rescue the bride to be. Kyle’s little brother Ike heads to his homeland of the Great White North to lead the Army of Canada and save the princess. For his bravery, Ike is made Knight of Canada and given “three kisses and a pair of socks, as is tradition.”

Airing day and date with the show’s U.S. broadcaster for the first time, the first three episodes of this season are already up 36% over last season, with an average of 195,000 viewers.
