South Park

From Muppets and puppets to South Park and Springfield, The Comedy Network celebrates the arrival of the jolly fat man like no other.

Beginning Saturday, Dec. 1, viewers can indulge in a festive feast of slacker stoners, nerdy brainiacs, stand-up specials, and more puppets than a Santa Claus parade, all the way until Friday, Jan. 4.

Shot live in Montréal this summer, Kermit, Miss Piggy, Fozzie, and the entire The Muppets crew take centre stage in the special Christmas Eve episode, “The Muppets All-Star Comedy Gala,” premiering Monday, Dec. 24 at 7:30 p.m. ET/PT. South Park has been confirmed to air until at least 2016.

The cartoon has been renewed for a further three seasons by Comedy Central, meaning the show will reach a milestone 20th season.

Michele Ganeless, president of the cable network, said: “The collective genius of Matt and Trey knows no bounds.

“Week after week and season after season they continue to surprise and delight South Park fans, and that includes all of us here at Comedy Central.

“We’re thrilled that the adventures of Stan, Kyle, Kenny and Cartman will continue through 2016.”

The show has been in production since 1997.
