Former Smallville actress Erica Durance has signed on for a role in a new CTV drama pilot.

Durance will appear in Saving Hope, which is being touted as a “sexy, fast-paced drama” by the network.

The actress featured in Smallville as Lois Lane for seven years since the show began in 2004.

The pilot is being produced by Rookie Blue producer Ilana Frank and co-creator Morwyn Brebner.

Tess (Cassidy Freeman) determines that a Phantom Zone prisoner has learned the way to escape, and Clark (Tom Welling) resolves to investigate by going there. Oliver (Justin Hartley) tricks Clark into taking him along, and they discover that the Zoners have a new leader: Zod.
