“Casey Casden”

Tuesday, May 1:

From the working class streets of Chicago to Canadian screens across the country comes an edgy, drama series that is unabashedly Shameless.

Airing uncensored beginning Monday, April 9 at 10pm ET/PT/MT/CT on Citytv, Shameless follows Frank Gallagher (William H. Macy, Fargo), the proud, working-class patriarch of a motley brood of six, smart and independent kids who, without him, would be… better off.

In Frank’s booze-addled view, parenting just eats into his hard-earned bar-crawling time, so he leaves it to eldest daughter Fiona (Emmy Rossum, The Phantom of the Opera) to hold down the fort.

Watch Shameless on Citytv and next day, post broadcast online at Viewers can also watch on the go with the Citytv app for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch. Citytv programming is also available on Rogers On Demand and Rogers Any Place TV.

Shameless is the story of the Gallaghers, a dysfunctional family who functions in a pretty predictable way day-to-day. While Frank “sleeps it off,” eldest daughter Fiona makes sure her younger siblings do their chores, keep a clean(ish) home and contribute to the Gallagher family fund jar – because the gas bill is due and everyone (no matter how small) works to keep the lights on and food on the table. Brothers Lip (Jeremy Allen White, Law and Order: Special Victims Unit), Ian (Cameron Monaghan, Prom) and Carl (Ethan Cutkosky, Conviction) use their intellect to break every rule in the book to save money, while younger sister Debbie (Emma Kenney, Boardwalk Empire) would sooner steal her share. Toddler Liam is simply happy to be along for the ride.

In the Season 1 premiere, the three oldest kids are all upset for one reason or another. Having her handbag stolen proves to be a blessing for Fiona when handsome stranger Steve (Canadian Justin Chatwin, War of the Worlds), comes to her rescue. Lip is shocked to discover Ian could be gay and decides his brother should pay a “visit” to the ever-accommodating Karen Jackson (Laura Slade Wiggins, Private Practice) down the block. But the sudden arrival of Karen’s furious father ensures Ian’s already slim chances of happiness with her, take a severe blow. Later, Steve buys Fiona a romantic gift – but for some reason she is less than impressed with her brand new washing machine.

Shameless star Emmy Rossum is starring in a new movie scheduled for launch on the 25th of July.

Inside is a new movie from the director of Disturbia that blends film and social media together.

When husband-and-wife writing team Sean and Beverly set out to reproduce their British TV hit for an American network, all of their worst fears come true as Hollywood lives up to its reputation for absurdity. After being cast in the starring role, LeBlanc takes the lead in deviously twisting their beloved series into a terrible cliché, while testing the couple’s marriage with diversions and temptations. Also starring Stephen Mangan, Tamsin Greig, John Pankow, Kathleen Rose Perkins and Mircea Monroe. The series is a co-production between Showtime in the U.S. and BBC in the U.K.
