The second season premiere drew an impressive 1.1 million viewers, making it the most-watched program of Tuesday night in the younger (A18-34) and female (F18-34) demos.

The premiere delivered strong ratings of 4.6 to 4.8 in Toronto, Vancouver, and Calgary for F18-34, and won the night for A18-34 in Vancouver, Calgary, and Edmonton. SAVING HOPE also saw half-hour growth nationally among all key adult and female demos. Continue reading »

At the end of last season, former Chief of Surgery, Dr. Charlie Harris (Michael Shanks) awoke from his coma and reunited with his fiancée Dr. Alex Reid (Erica Durance). Charlie, who is still seeing spirits, battles to free himself of his connection to the after-life as his secret threatens to destroy his relationship with Alex, and even his life.

AmazingRaceCanadaCTV has today laid out its upcoming summer line-up, which is headlined by the first ever season of The Amazing Race Canada.

Returning series include The Listener, Saving Hope, MasterChef and So You Think You Can Dance while the new series premieres of Satisfaction and Mistresses take place also.

Jason Priestly will put on directing hat for one episode of the new season.

ICF Films and Entertainment One (eOne), in association with CTV, announced today that production is underway on Season 2 of the original Canadian hit drama Saving Hope.

Gemini-nominated actor Jason Priestley and Gregory Smith (Rookie Blue) are each set to direct an episode in the upcoming second season, joining directors David Wellington (The Eleventh Hour, Would Be Kings, Rookie Blue) Ken Girotti (Bomb Girls), John Fawcett (Orphan Black), and Jeff Woolnough (Jack). CTV announced today it has upped the ante on its second season order for its hit Canadian drama series, Saving Hope, to even more episodes.

The broadcaster has ordered an additional five hours from ICF Films/Entertainment One (eOne), bringing its second season commitment to 18 episodes in total.

The most-watched drama series on Canadian television this summer, Saving Hope reigns as the most-watched Canadian drama of the 2011-12 broadcast year, with an impressive Season 1 average of 1.7 million viewers each week. Continue reading »

Canadian medical drama Saving Hope has been sold to a variety of international broadcasters ahead of its second season.

Deals have been made with DirecTV in Latin America, Globosat in Brazil, Zon in Portugal, D-Smart in Turkey, La7 in Italy, EUFORIA TV in Romania, Domashny in Russia and Sony SET Channel in Africa.

A second season of the CTV drama was ordered despite the fact it struggled to make an impact in the US when airing on NBC, who subsequently took it off the air. Continue reading »

But when he gets called over to their house after a domestic dispute, Gavin finds that he may have let himself get too close to a patient.
