RealHousewivesVancouverDespite its popularity on Slice over its first two seasons, The Real Housewives of Vancouver has been put on hold by Shaw Media.

Barbara Williams, senior vice-president of content for Shaw Media, made the announcement at the Shaw Upfront this week.

Williams’ statement read:

“After two successful seasons of The Real Housewives of Vancouver, Shaw Media will be putting production of a third season on hold while we sample new programming on Slice. Slice will remain the exclusive home of The Real Housewives franchise and it continues to be an important part of our schedule.”

Slice has announced that three new wives will be joining the cast of The Real Housewives of Vancouver for its second season.

Robin Reichman, Ioulia Reynolds and Amanda Hansen will join Jody Claman, Mary Zilba and Ronnie Negus in the all-new second run of the reality series, which kicks off on February 5th.

“Season One of The Real Housewives of Vancouver was a massive hit on SliceTM. Adding three new wives to our existing roster of fabulous stars is going to turn the series on its head, tripling the potential for new relationships, drama and spectacle,” said Barbara Williams, Senior Vice President of Content, Shaw Media. Slice is unleashing its hottest season on record with some of the most highly anticipated reality series of 2013 on the horizon.

Today the network released premiere dates and coveted details for The Real Housewives of Vancouver Season Two, Big Brother Canada and the newly announced, Big Brother Canada After Dark, all set to debut in February exclusively on Slice.

Ronnie hosts a party to launch her latest wine, but drama ensues after a confrontation leaves a bad taste in her mouth and causes the ladies to finally air out their differences in an explosive season one finale.

Reiko throws a lavish Bollywood party for some important guests. Meanwhile, the other ladies attend a high-society party in which Mary and Jody compete for Ronnie’s loyalty.

In the wake of Jody serving Mary with legal papers, Ronnie whisks the wives off to wine country where Christina risks getting back into Jody’s bad books. Meanwhile, Reiko’s own bottled-up issues with Jody begin to surface.

Mary returns home to face Ronnie after a trip in Mexico. Meanwhile, Christina tries to recruit Mia to ‘Team Mary,’ and Jody confronts Mary about spreading rumours about her retail store.

After being attacked by Jody and Mia at Ronnie’s birthday, Mary leaves the drama behind and heads to Mexico, leaving somebody important behind. Meanwhile, Jody turns a critical eye towards her own BFF, Reiko.

Mary and Ronnie finally attempt to mend fences while Christina burns a potential bridge with Ronnie. Meanwhile, Reiko hopes to participate in the Luxury Supercar Show, and Christina falls for a new suitor.
