Pawn Stars

An upcoming episode of Pawn Stars will have added interest in Canada given one of the items is Wayne Gretzky’s final NHL contract as a player.

Corey and Chumlee read the fine print when an original signed copy of Wayne Gretzky’s New York Rangers contract skates into the shop. The episode airs Tuesday, June 4 at 9PM ET/PT.

This historic contract is a memento from Gretzky’s 20-year NHL career, which included four Stanley Cups with the Oilers and an astounding 61 NHL records. There are only five copies in existence, but with Corey claiming, ‘I can’t tell you one hockey player in the world right now,” will the guys think it’s worth the cash?

This fall History is delving into the lives of ordinary people whose not-so-ordinary ways of life are making history right now.

The new schedule includes Canadian original series Bomb Hunters, which features unknown everyday heroes who are working to make Canada a safer country.

Canadian broadcast premieres of Great Lake Warriors, Mountain Men and Shark Wranglers invite viewers into the lives of individuals whose dangerous jobs are probably not advertised on many careers days. Continue reading »

The Pawn Stars return for a thrilling third season, featuring bigger deals, better items and brutal negotiations…

In a brand new third season, the Pawn Stars return to HISTORY™ to use their sharp-eyed skills to carefully assess the value of objects ranging from the totally obscure to the truly historic.

The Gold & Silver Pawn shop is a family affair and with three generations of men from the Harrison family welcoming customers and fans of the show alike into the Las Vegas store. The Harrisons live and breathe the pawning business and season three promises to feature the rarest, the weirdest and the best of the items they’ll ever see. And, if the first two seasons are anything to go by we’ll see some tough bargaining as well as family dramas and feuds with each Harrison having his own idea about what sells!

The Pawn Stars attract customers from all over the world and they travel across America just to get a taste of the family in action. The Harrisons are presented daily with mysterious pieces of history, ranging from Winchester rifles and rare movie memorabilia to secret sundials and pinball machines.

Will there be a big bang of a deal, or will the negotiations be too much to handle? As always, tensions run high between the family and we can’t wait to see whether Grandfather ‘Old Man’ Richard and son Rick finally let Grandson, Corey take the lead or will he miss out on those vital deals?

Join the Pawn Stars only on HISTORY™ this November as they make and break each crucial sale that comes their way.

Mondays at 9pm on History.

In the dusty outskirts of Las Vegas, Nevada you’ll find the Harrison family – three generations of one family whose business is pure pawn.

The world-famous Pawn Stars are returning to HISTORY™ for a 2nd series and as masters of their trade, this family of pawnbrokers must establish the authenticity and value of each and every unique item. Each day the Pawn Stars meet their customers and are presented with an array of ‘treasure’ – from pirate chests, Charles Lindbergh’s propellers to rusty knives and ancient rifles – they see it all… but they never quite know what will be coming next…

Series 2 rejoins the family business and it is booming. The Pawn Stars teach viewers valuable lessons about haggling and the history behind one-of-a-kind, vintage items. Not everything always goes to plan, of course and tensions run high in the family. Grandfather Richard, son Rick and grandson Corey all fight for first right to an item but conflicts arise between Rick and ‘Old Man’ as they question Corey’s judgement on vital items. Who will strike it lucky in Pawn?

There’s always an opportunity to learn something new for this family and we join their trials and tribulations as they open up for business. Watch as the Harrison family learns to separate fact from fiction in order to get the best deal possible. When one of the most expensive American race cars, a 1965 classic Shelby Cobra arrives at the shop, will the team figure out if it’s in fact a fake or will the experts come to their rescue?

Negotiation plays a huge part for the team. It’s their bread and butter and their reputation on the line so, can they make a truly explosive deal or will the customer strike it lucky leaving them out of pocket?

You’ll have to tune in to Pawn Stars every Monday on HISTORY at 9PM if you too want to watch the Pawn Stars in action.
