Viewers got a dose of the sixth and final season of NIP/TUCK when the controversial and award-winning series premiered last night at 10 p.m. ET/PT on /A\ (visit to confirm local broadcast times). Continuing Sundays at 10 p.m. ET/PT on /A\, the Emmy® and Golden Globe® award-winning drama comes to a close as successful and charismatic plastic surgeons Sean McNamara (Dylan Walsh, The Stepfather) and Christian Troy (Julian McMahon, Fantastic Four) struggle with their practice in Beverly Hills amidst a crumbling economy. Guest stars this season include Gilles Marini (BROTHERS & SISTERS), Joan Rivers and Melanie Griffith (Now and Then). Rose McGowan (CHARMED) joins the cast as Teddy and recurring guest star Mario Lopez (RANDY JACKSON PRESENTS AMERICA’S BEST DANCE CREW) appears as Dr. Mike Hamoui.

Marlee Matlin (Dancing With the Stars) guest-stars as Barbara Shapiro.

Dawn Budge (guest star Rosie O’Donnell), now a “Hearts ‘n’ Scalpels” producer, objects when the show is invited to participate in a gay pride parade. Meanwhile, Christian falls back into old habits. Sean, on the outs with Christian over Julia, hires Gina (guest star, Canadian Jessalyn Gilsig) as a receptionist to get back at him. Meanwhile, Matt’s disfigured rehabilitation counselor sees Sean when she experiences pain in her face, but her case proves to be more complicated than that.

Sean tries to recapture his youth by having an affair with Eden; Julia questions her relationship with Olivia after a violent and traumatic event; Kimber makes a decision that devastates Matt; and Sean and Christian operate on a retired astrophysicist who claims he had contact with aliens.

After suspecting that something more than just their Secret Santa game is going on, Sean confronts Christian and Julia about the secret they have been keeping. Meanwhile, a hospitalized Matt bonds with his rehab counselor, and Eden tries to bond and make peace with Julia, which raises Julia’s suspicions. Kimber reveals her plans for the future, and who is – and isn’t – involved.
