Get your heart monitor ready because the 24/7 adrenaline rush is ramping up for more! Discovery Channel Canada announced today it has renewed its hit original series NERVE CENTER for a second season.
In addition, Discovery Channel’s production company, Exploration Production Inc. (EPI), confirms sales of Season 1 of their their top-performing program have been made in more than 140 markets around the world.
The inaugural season was a ratings smash this spring in Canada attracting a total of nearly 1 million unique viewers each week. In addition, NERVE CENTER won its Sunday night time slot across all Canadian English non-sports specialty television for total viewers, A25-54, and A18-49.
NERVE CENTER documents the day-in-the-life of a vital nerve center, such as at Grand Central Terminal or Atlanta International Airport, beginning at the high-pressure moment of peak operations. Meet the key personnel that drive the momentum from behind the scenes, then see over the course of a working day how everything interconnects seamlessly – and sometimes not so seamlessly – to deliver the goods. With production already underway, Season 2 will pick up with another six-episode journey beginning Fall 2012.
