Monty Python: Almost The Truth (The Laywer’s Cut)

Bravo! brings the legendary British comedy troupe Monty Python to the small screen for the Canadian premiere of MONTY PYTHON: ALMOST THE TRUTH (THE LAYWER’S CUT). The six-episode series airs on Bravo! in three, two-hour blocks beginning Saturday, Oct. 24 at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT. The subsequent episodes air Sunday, Oct. 25 and Monday Oct. 26 at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT.

A highly-anticipated official history, MONTY PYTHON: ALMOST THE TRUTH (THE LAYWER’S CUT) features interviews with the surviving troupe members including John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, Terry Jones, and Michael Palin. ALMOST THE TRUTH also features archival footage of the late Graham Chapman. Throughout the series, the Pythons tell their life story and reveal deeper truths of their 40-year history with never-before-seen material.

Along with an in-depth look at the Pythons from the Pythons themselves, the docu-series also takes a look at what others – rock stars, comedians, actors, politicians, writers, broadcasters, religious groups, Python-haters, and potential axe murderers – have to say about the troupe’s history. Dozens of featured guest interviews include Jimmy Fallon, Lorne Michaels, Hugh Hefner, Eddie Izzard, Olivia Harrison, Stephen Merchant, Dan Aykroyd, Tim Roth, Seth Green, among many others.
