As tablet ownership continues to rise in Canada so does the upward trend in mobile and online TV viewing.
CBC/Radio-Canada’s Media Technology Monitor found in a survey of 2,000 Canadians this year that 21 per cent owned a tablet of some kind.
Around 71 per cent of those surveyed said they watched some type of online video in the past month, while on in five said they had watched a full-length TV episode in the past month.
19 per cent said they has watched a movie online while 15 per cent claimed they were Netflix subscribers.
A further 19 per cent said they had a TV connected to the internet- a figure that is more than double the nine per cent that answered the same last year. Continue reading »
