MuchMusic is going for gold, and so is gymnastics newcomer Emily Kmetko in the new drama MAKE IT OR BREAK IT, premiering this Wednesday, December 16 at 7 p.m. ET. The scripted, youth drama focuses on a group of young gymnasts that train, cackle, compete, and back-stab their way to achieving a common dream – landing a spot on the American Olympic gymnastics team. At The Rock gymnastics training center in Colorado, these talented young athletes deal with drama and stress inside this pressure cooker where there are only two outcomes – make it or break it. So put on the spandex, dust off that balance beam, and prepare to stick the landing as MuchMusic gets ‘gym nasty’ on Wednesday nights.

MAKE IT OR BREAK IT is the second-highest rated series of all time on ABC Family. Making its Canadian debut on MuchMusic, the hit series opens with Emily (Chelsea Hobbs) receiving a scholarship to train at The Rock, one of the nation’s top gyms. Finally, her dream of becoming an Olympic gymnast is within reach. But when she shows up, she inadvertently shakes up the status quo. Rivalry immediately ensues with three of the gym’s top performers: Payson (Ayla Kell), who is used to being numero uno; Lauren (Cassie Scerbo), who is ultra-competitive in and out of the gym; and Kaylie (Josie Loren), who is secretly dating the gym’s resident hottie Carter (Zachary Burr Abel).

The series is sure to resonate with Canadian viewers who struggle to juggle their own challenges to their achieve dreams, just as these gymnasts do. As the girls vie for their shot at winning gold, the characters in MAKE IT OR BREAK IT contend with the immense pressure from coaches, sponsors and even their own parents – all while having to deal with normal teen issues and competing for top spot against rivals and some of the same people they consider friends.

The series also stars Peri Gilpin as Kim Keeler, Candace Cameron Bure as Summer and Susan Ward as Chloe Kmetko.
