“Paul Giamatti is going to be on,” she said. “[He plays] a guy who works down in this cavernous editing room.”

Fey also confirmed that the cast are still enjoying what they do.

“We started shooting again last week and… I can’t believe we’ve been able to continue this charade [for] this long.

“We’re having a good time.”

Mad men actress Alison Brie has confirmed she is returning to the drama series for the next season.

The actress, who plays Pete Campbell’s wife Trudy, will feature in the fourth season of the show after taking time out to work on other projects.

Brie admits it was difficult to return to the role after so long away: “To go back to Mad Men this summer after eight months of constant work on Community playing just about the opposite character was really daunting,” Brie told Entertainment Weekly.

“I was very nervous I’d forgotten how to be Trudy. But then you put on the clothes and get the hair done and it is like you never left. Welcome back to the ’60s. Without prodding, I’m like, ‘The pot roast is ready!'”

Mad Men star Bryan Batt has said he is unsure as to whether a comeback to the hit TV show is on the cards.

Batt, who starred in Mad Men as Salvatore Romano up until he was fired from the advertising agency in the third season, has admitted he does not know if he will return.

“That’s the million dollar question.” Batt said when asked if he will return for future episodes.

“All I know is that [creator] Matt [Weiner] said in an interview that they don’t kill people. The last time you saw Sal he was still alive. So people are just going to have to watch and find out.”

Aside from his role as Salvatore, the 47-year-old actor has appeared on Ugly Betty, Rescue Me, Law and Order: Criminal Intent as well as a number of theatre performances.

The fourth season of Mad Men is set to screen later this year.
