LostGirlS3George Takei (Star Trek), Mia Kirshner (Defiance) and Ali Liebert (Bomb Girls) are adding some star power to the fourth season of Lost Girl, which began production last week.

Filming got underway in Toronto on Friday for the 13-episode fourth season, which is expected to hit Showcase this fall.

VincentWalshDeception and Lost Girl actor Vincent Walsh has been cast in the lead role of CTV’s new drama series Played.

Production has commenced on the 13-part scripted series from Muse Entertainment and Back Alley Film Productions Ltd., which is shooting in Toronto through September 2013.

LostGirl2013Showcase is launching a new mobile app for Lost Girl.

Dropping on the season three finale, the app will allow fans of the series to connect worldwide “by delivering a fully interactive social gaming experience”.

The free app is due to launch on April 14 via showcase.ca and is available for download on iOS and Android devices.

LindaHamiltonLostGirlSci-fi veteran Linda Hamilton will make a guest appearance on Lost Girl next Sunday.

The Terminator actress will feature as Acacia, a “ tough, sexy and ruthless assassin who has resurfaced from Tamsin’s (Rachel Skarsten) secretive past”.

“Her arrival spells trouble for Bo (Anna Silk), Kenzi (Ksenia Solo) and Dyson (Kris Holden-Ried), who are undercover at an urban camp to catch a serial killer Fae preying on at-risk youth.”

The episode, entitled ‘Delinquents’, airs Sunday, March 24 at 9PM ET/PT.

The Canadian Showcase drama is midway through its third season run and is proving a winner for the network on Sunday nights.

Prodigy Pictures, in association with Shaw Media, announced Linda Hamilton will guest star in season three of the Showcase hit series, Lost Girl.

Linda Hamilton is best known for her role as Sarah Connor in the blockbuster film, The Terminator and its sequel Terminator 2: Judgment Day.
