Lipstick Jungle

The smart, sexy and sophisticated ladies of the Big Apple move to Citytv for their second season. Tune in for the drama and some larger than life guest stars when “Lipstick Jungle” premieres Wednesday, September 24th at 10pm on Citytv.

Nobody said life at the top was easy! Based on the best-selling book by Candace Bushnell, this provocative series continues to chronicle the lives of three powerful best friends in New York City – movie executive Wendy (Brooke Shields), fashion magazine editor-in-chief Nico (Kim Raver) and fashion designer, Victory (Lindsay Price).

In the season premiere episode, Nico’s guilt over a recent affair leads her to decide that she will do anything to save her marriage. Wendy follows suit and makes her family a priority after a tell-all book labels her a bad mother, while Victory struggles with her current relationship after discovering that life as a millionaire’s girlfriend isn’t all champagne and caviar all of the time.

Look for exciting guest stars this season including Mary Tyler Moore as Wendy’s mother Joyce and Rosie Perez as Victory’s top-flight publicist, Dahlia.

A big breakout project involving J.K. Rowling presents itself to Wendy and she promises only to tell Nico. However, Nico is put in the hot seat by Hector and reveals Wendy’s secret to him. Hector immediately assigns both Nico and Wendy to head to Scotland and make a meeting with Rowling happen. Shane convinces Wendy to go on the trip but Nico, unaware that Wendy plans to attend, invites Kirby. Meanwhile, Victory is enjoying her newfound investor and his willingness to fund all of her ideas but grows a bit suspicious of his generosity. She tries to get to the bottom of it all, only to find a shocking surprise.

Thursday, March 13 at 10 p.m. on CTV

Victory discovers that her work has been stolen from a competitive designer and tries to discover how he got his hands on her work. Meanwhile, things again heat up between Nico and Kirby, but not without Nico setting some ground rules first. Nico helps Kirby get a job, but when she spots chemistry between Kirby and the lead actress, she cannot help but wonder how deep her feelings really are for him. Wendy and Shane go to watch Shane’s old band play, and Shane gets back on the stage. After Wendy realizes how good Shane is, she tries to pitch his demo for an upcoming movie she is working on.

From the pen of Sex and the City author Candace Bushnell, A-Channel presents the premiere of the highly-anticipated new dramedy Lipstick Jungle on Thursday, Feb. 7 at 10 p.m. ET (visit achannel.ca to confirm local broadcast times). Lipstick Jungle stars Brooke Shields (Suddenly Susan), Kim Raver (24) and Lindsay Price (Beverly Hills, 90210) as three friends with spots on New York City’s list of the 50 Most Powerful Women, but who struggle to achieve more in their lives, careers and loves.

The enticing new dramedy follows the three high-powered BFF’s as they weather the ups and downs of life with each others’ support. Movie executive Wendy (Shields) does everything she can to balance her career and her family; Nico (Raver), the editor-in-chief of a hot fashion magazine, has her eye on becoming CEO; and free-spirited fashion designer Victory (Price) longs to make her dreams come true…and maybe find Mr. Right along the way. With humour and strength, this trio of modern New York women support one another through the triumphs and tears that are part of making it big in the Big Apple.

Also starring in Lipstick Jungle are Andrew McCarthy (The Spiderwick Chronicles), Julian Sands (24), David Alan Basche (United 93), David Norona (Six Feet Under) and Paul Blackthorne (Big Shots).
