New shore, same crazy. The guidos and guidettes of JERSEY SHORE are back for another season of GTL (gym, tanning, laundry) and fist-pumping like champs on the dance floor.

Season 2 sees the party move south to Miami Beach, where the crew spent the winter rekindling old friendships and old flames. Once the boardwalk heats up again, the series returns to the Jersey Shore to complete the season.

The haters will be hatin’, the Ron Ron Juice will be flowin’ and the Snooki will be Snookin’ on Season 2 of JERSEY SHORE, airing Thursdays on MTV at 10 p.m. ET/PT, beginning July 29.

In the season premiere, the Situation, Pauly D, Snooki and J-Woww road trip down the east coast, while the rest of the gang hop on planes to fly south for the winter. Once there, they are shocked by the surprise arrival of former housemate Angelina, and the drama picks up right where it left off in Jersey. Ron and Sam are newly single – or are they?

She says she still has feelings for him and wants to get back together. But when tensions boil over, she is left at home alone and broken-hearted while he gets crazy at the club.

The cast of Jersey Shore are close to sealing a deal with MTV in order to dramatically bump up their pay per episode.

The entire cast of the reality show went on strike just days ahead of the premiere of the second season of the show in order to show their anger at the level of pay they are receiving.

They have asked for $30,000 each per episode which is a rise of 200%, after receiving $5000 per episode in the first season and $10000 for the second.

MTV have countered with a figure near that to the requested sum and it is expected that several members of the cast will sign soon.

MTV is looking to filter out references to the Italian heritage of its cast members in Jersey Shore after fielding complaints from a lobby group.

An Italian-American group met with producers of the reality show to discuss the cast members’ use of terms such as “guido” which are potentially offensive.

The group is upset over the heavy Italian focus in the MTV show, which premiered this year.

Andre DiMino, national president of UNICO, has said: “With a programme like this it’s still trash television, and it would be unfortunate if they don’t de-Italianize the programme.”

Meanwhile an MTV spokesperson said they would look to “make some adjustments” but don’t want to stop the cast from expressing themselves.
