Jersey Shore

Viewers should start flexing those typing fingers over the holidays ‘cause MTV Canada’s newest original series are something to talk about.

Right before the Season 5 premiere of JERSEY SHORE on Thursday, Jan. 5 at 10 p.m. ET, MTV shines a light on its own version of family dysfunction with the all-new, made-in-Canada pre-show, JERSEY SHORE AT SHEENA’S HOUSE, premiering Thursday, Jan. 5 at 9:30 p.m. ET.

Featuring MTV LIVE co-host Sheena Snively and her no-holds-barred family, the weekly pre-show features a series of highlight clips from past episodes which are dissected, scrutinized and analyzed.

Speaking of analyzing, social networkers better beef up their profiles ‘cause the folks at MTV Canada are getting creepy with the all-new, original production MTV CREEPS premiering Thursday, Jan. 5 at 11 p.m. ET, immediately following the premiere of JERSEY SHORE. This weekly series takes creeping to a whole new level as a panel of judges analyze and vote on the worst, and best social media profiles in Canada. After its premiere episode, the weekly series settles into its regular time slot of Tuesdays at 9:30 p.m. ET, exclusively on MTV. Encore viewings of all the above series are available after their on-air debut, at mtv.ca.

In JERSEY SHORE AT SHEENA’S HOUSE, past episodes of JERSEY SHORE are picked apart, and predictions, assumptions and resumptions are made about the upcoming episode. Joining Sheena at the helm of the JERSEY SHORE tribunal is her boisterous and unconventional family including her parents, her husband, her sister, her adorable six-month old nephew, her brother in-law and his girlfriend.

Fresh off their European excursion to Florence, Italy, the crew of JERSEY SHORE return to their home turf in the series’ fifth season. Featuring more G.T.L (Gym, Tan, Laundry), seaside shenanigans, and everything in between, these Jerseyites hit the ground running, dealing with their evolving group dynamic amidst the tensions and hook-up rumours left over from their time in Florence.

And of course the Italians put the roommates to work – the cast rounds up customers and learn how to make pizza at a local pizzeria, O Vesuvio.

It was reported that the Italian government and residence really did not want the show to be filmed and they were apparently under strict orders of no drinking or sex on camera. We’ll see if this actually pans out. TMZ has reported an altercation between Mike “The Situation” and Ronnie after only a few weeks in Italy.

Appearently the series has also been picked up for a fifth installment but no word on if the current cast has signed on the dotted line.

Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino has signed a development deal with MTV.

The Jersey Shore cast member has inked a deal that will see him continue working with the network that made him a reality TV star.

“I’m excited to continue my relationship with MTV, which has been home for me for the last couple of years,” he said in a statement.

“I’m really grateful for all the support from my fans. Hopefully, there will be plenty more situations in the future.”

Sorrentino is the fourth Jersey Shore cast member to sign additional deals with the network, behind Snooki, JWoww and Pauly D.
