PrintTSN and RDS have partnered to secure the broadcast rights to the IIHF World Junior Championship for the next 10 years.

Hockey Canada and the broadcasters have extended their partnership, which has been going since 1991, to keep all Hockey Canada events in the same place.

The new deal, negotiated exclusively with TSN and RDS, gives Canada’s #1 English and French speciality networks multi-platform media rights to all Hockey Canada events including the IIHF WORLD JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP (World Juniors). Continue reading »

The 24-year-old daughter of Canadian hockey legend Wayne Gretzky is looking to build her profile in Canada this month thanks to a TV special and a magazine cover.

Paulina Gretzky – who is known more for her racy Twitter photos – will be the subject of a 30-minute City special tonight and is gracing the cover of Flare magazine this month.

Her goal is a career in music but thanks to the release of a number of questionable photos on Twitter she is not being taken as seriously as she might hope.

However, gracing the cover of Flare may be the start of an image makeover for the 24-year-old. Continue reading »

This festive season, Canada’s Sports Leader takes fans to Ufa, Russia, as host broadcaster of the latest installment of a holiday hockey tradition like no other: the 2013 IIHF World Junior Championship on TSN.

Once again, fans from coast to coast will be able to consume complete live coverage of the World Juniors across multiple platforms – TSN, TSN2, TSN Mobile TV, TSN Radio, and TSN Digital platforms including TSN.ca – as Team Canada goes for gold at the 40th anniversary edition of the tournament, for the first time produced by TSN in Russia for a worldwide audience.
