On the heels of the best year for online video in the company’s history, for the first time, almost all of CTV’s prime-time schedule will be available on CTV.ca following each show’s television broadcast, it was announced today.

This Fall, CTV.ca is packed with brand-new, big buzz shows and returning favourites. Each of the series on CTV.ca will play in an enhanced 16:9 video player with improved video quality launching in sync with CTV’s Premiere Week, Monday, September 20.

“There is a growing demand and dedicated audience for network programming online, and we are aiming to be ahead of the curve to meet that demand,” said Alon Marcovici, Executive Vice-President of Digital Media, CTV Inc. “This programming expansion is a delivery on our commitment to ensuring that our audience has access to the best shows from across the schedule. Almost every prime-time show, and a fair share of daytime and late night programming, will be available to CTV.ca viewers.”

By the end of last television season, CTV.ca saw huge increases in online video viewership. The new hour-long drama premieres Wednesday, September 8 at 9 p.m. ET on /A\ and Friday, September 10 at 8 p.m. ET on MuchMusic. A cheeky look into the cut-throat world of competitive college cheerleading, HELLCATS stars HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL’s Ashley Tisdale as cheerleader captain Savannah Monroe and BANDSLAM’s Alyson Michalka.

With choreography by SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE CANADA choreographer and guest judge Paul Becker and featuring Season 1 Top 2 finalist Allie Bertram, HELLCATS is sure to get viewers moving. New episodes of HELLCATS are available on demand following their television broadcast on the CTV Video Player at CTV.ca and on muchmusic.com.

HELLCATS joins /A\’s new Wednesday night fall line-up, which begins with the 15th cycle of AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL at 8 p.m. ET on Sept. 8. The new series also joins MuchMusic’s new Friday night line-up, leading into the second season of VAMPIRE DIARIES at 9 p.m. ET on Sept. 10.

HELLCATS follows Marti Perkins who finds herself competing for a spot on Lancer University’s cheer squad to rectify her financial setback after her scholarship comes to a screeching halt. Marti is soon going toe-to-toe with the competitive, peppy, and fierce cheer captain Savannah Moore. The squad must work together despite the drama to win the national title and be atop of cheerleading supremacy, and Marti has to give it all she has to make her dreams come true.

Based on the book Cheer! Inside the Secret World of College Cheerleaders by Kate Torgovnick and produced by Emmy® Award winner Kevin Murphy (DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES) and actor Tom Welling (SMALLVILLE). HELLCATS is punchy and upbeat with a soundtrack worth cheering for.

In the series premiere “A World Full of Strangers,” resourceful and spirited Marti Perkins (Alyson Michalka) is forced to apply for the Hellcats cheer squad at Memphis’ Lancer University to secure a scholarship and keep her place in school. Marti is shocked to see rival Savannah Monroe (Ashley Tisdale) is the Hellcat captain and holds the key to her fate.
