Happy Endings

newgirldamonwayansHappy Endings actor Damon Wayans Jr. will make his return to New Girl in its third season.

The actor was cast in the sitcom’s pilot prior to the second season renewal of happy Endings and had to drop out, making way for Lamorne Morris’ character Winston.

Wayans Jr. will be back in his role of Coach for a “significant” arc in the third season.

His character was cast as the original third roommate before Jess (Zooey Deschanel) moving in.

Coach was referenced occasionally during the first two seasons by the other characters.

David Caspe says that an Arrested Development-style internet series is a possibility if no other network picks it up.

Caspe said: “I would never say never to anything. We would always be open to talking about it,” he stressed. “But the only way to move on is to move on. We have other stuff that we’ve gotta do. Who knows?”

“I’m sure when they moved on from Arrested Development they never imagined that seven years later they would do it again. Continue reading »

She went on to joke that it may get a little awkward now on the set of Happy Endings: “I’m not gonna fight anyone about it, though. I’ll accept it with grace. But being on a show with two other beautiful women, this is gonna make going to work very uncomfortable.”

andyrichterConan O’Brien’s long-time sidekick Andy Richter has been cast in Happy Endings.

The actor will play the role of Penny’s (Casey Wilson) father in an upcoming episode.

The episode will address the relatively small age difference between the two, with Richter being only 14 years older than his on-screen daughter.

The future of quirky comedy series Happy Endings doesn’t look all that bright following low ratings numbers in the US this season.

This week’s episode of the show drew just 2.6 million viewers, the lowest audience for an episode in the shows history.

Unfortunately for fans of the series, a 10pm timeslot on ABC in the States doesn’t help. The comedy lost nearly two-thirds of the lead in audience from Revenge at 9pm on the network. Continue reading »
