Lara-Jean-ChorosteckiToronto’s Lara Jean Chorostecki will be seen next in the new US thriller series Hannibal.

Chorostecki is part of the impressive cast that includes Hugh Dancy, Mads Mikkelsen, Caroline Dhavernas and Laurence Fishburne.

She will play the role of Freddie Lounds, a tabloid reporter that has previously been played by the likes of Phillip Seymour Hoffman and Stephen Lang in other adaptations of Thomas Harris’ novel red Dragon.

Chorostecki can be recognized for her film and television roles in the highly acclaimed series including Starz/CBC miniseries Camelot,Brandon Cronenberg’s feature film Antiviraland BBC America’s 1860s Irish cop dramaCopper where she guest stars as Sybil O’Brien. Lara Jean has also guest starred onCW’s hit series Beauty and the Beast,CBC’s Republic of Doyle, CTV’s Dan for Mayor, The Listener and more.

The series begins in Canada on City on April 4 at 10pm ET/PT.
