Greek on CTV

Frats, sororities, back-stabbing and hazing…CTV is going Greek and what a rush it will be! The hit first season of Greek, which debuted on ABC Family in the U.S. last year, heats up CTV’s summer schedule Fridays at 9 p.m. ET, beginning July 4 (visit CTV.ca to confirm local broadcast times). The 10-part series focuses on college life, the social minefield that is the Greek system, and on a cast of characters who are trying to navigate their way through the treacherous terrain of Cyprus-Rhodes University.

In its freshman year, Greek wrapped as ABC Family’s highest-rated original series ever in the key P18-34 and P12-34 demos. The June 9 season finale ranked as basic cable’s #1 program for the hour with women 18-34 and P12-34. Its sophomore season is currently in production.

Greek follows college freshman Rusty (Jacob Zachar, Surf’s Up) as he sets out to reinvent himself after being academically focused during his high school years. Rusty believes that he has missed out on all the fun, and wants to live a different lifestyle in college. Turns out, he is going to the same college his sister Casey (Spencer Grammer, As the World Turns) is, and she’s already popular on campus. As these two navigate their way through the fraternity and sorority life, their previously non-existent relationship becomes intertwined as Rusty tries to live the party life, which Casey feels is an invasion into her world.

Greek also stars Scott Michael Foster (Women’s Murder Club) as Cappie, Jake McDorman (Live Free or Die Hard) as Evan, Clark Duke (Superbad) as Dale, Dilshad Vadsaria (Vanished) as Rebecca, Paul James (CSI: Miami) as Calvin and Amber Stevens (CSI) as Ashleigh.

In the debut episode, premiering Friday, July 4 at 9 p.m. ET, Rusty begins his freshman year at Cyprus-Rhodes University determined to change his life and rush a fraternity. However, his sister Casey, who is already ensconced as a sorority siren, is not too keen on having her younger brother infringe on her territory. From the start, their family bond is tested as Rusty heads into rush week and discovers information that could hurt his sister – and could jeopardize his bid to the most prestigious fraternity on campus.
