A young man, cursed with a perfect memory, is abducted and forced to penetrate a high-tech research facility and memorize the design of a new ‘smart gun.’ Ed (Hugh Dillon) risks his life to save him as Team One faces off against a weapon they’ve never seen before, and a criminal desperate enough to use it.

Team One is stunned when someone hacks into their ultra-secure computer system – to show the team the video of a crime in progress. The team speeds after the thieves, who’ve stolen an eighteen-wheeler full of volatile chemicals. Ed (Hugh Dillon) is forced to take a risky sniper shot as Spike (Sergio Di Zio) tracks down the hacker (Kris Lemche, In Time) who set Team One on the case. Untangling the hacker’s motives, Spike finds a young man who’s put his life at risk to rescue the girl he loves (Meaghan Rath, BEING HUMAN).

Team One locks down a robbery in progress at a busy downtown bank only to discover Sarah (Clare Stone, Mr. Nobody) and Maddie (Katharine Isabelle, American Mary), two young con artists who are under the thumb of dangerous “mentor,” Pete Joris (Karem Malicki Sanchez, TRUE BLOOD). When Pete turns violent, Sarah is determined to cut him from their lives while Jules (Amy Jo Johnson) and the team race to stop her before she becomes his next victim.

A gunpoint abduction at a doctor’s office puts Team One on a collision course with a desperate felon as his bleeding son’s life rests in Sam’s (David Paetkau) hands.

In the firth and final season premiere episode, Team One tears through the city in pursuit of James Mitchell (guest star Ty Olson, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1), an armed and volatile man hunting for his ex-wife Michelle (Lisa Houle, EMILY OF NEW MOON). James’ frantic daughter May (Brooke Palsson, LESS THAN KIND) fills the team in on the history of violence and abuse that she and her mother have escaped.

The final scene has been shot. Episode #75 is in the can. And the set for the SRU – Strategic Response Unit – Headquarters has officially closed up shop.

Now, it’s time to celebrate the final season of Canada’s trailblazing series, Flashpoint. With production wrapped this summer on 13 action-packed episodes, the fifth and final season will premiere Thursday, Sept. 20 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on CTV.

The drama reaches a fevered pitch in the shocking series finale – one that changes Team One forever and will go down as the most action-packed Canadian television episode in recent memory (broadcast info TBD).
