Once again, ETALK is the only Canadian television outlet to sit down with Canadian biographer Ian Halperin, this time he talks about his new tell-all book, Brangelina: The Untold Story of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. The shocking five-part interview, BRANGELINA EXPOSED, airs on ETALK beginning Wednesday, Dec. 2 at 7 p.m. ET on CTV (check your local listings) and on Star! beginning Wednesday, Dec. 2 at 6 p.m. ET. Episodes of ETALK, including the interviews with Halperin, are also available on CTV.ca.

Halperin’s book is based on years of self-proclaimed undercover work, from befriending the couple’s staff to checking into the same mental hospital as Angelina. Brangelina: The Untold Story of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie is in stores today.

Wednesday, Dec. 2 at 7 p.m. ET – Cracks in their relationship
“There was a period when Angie was filming Salt last summer when they didn’t even see each other for around 45 days and that was no coincidence…,” Halperin said in his interview. Along with his claim that Brangelina’s relationship is only physical, he also drops a bombshell prediction: The couple will be broken up in the next 12 to 18 months

Friday, Dec. 4 at 7 p.m. ET – Brad and his bad boy ways
Brad may seem like the ideal father and husband, but Halperin uncovers his painful habits. Angelina has cleaned up her act over the past few years, but now she is worried about Brad being drunk and smoking pot around the kids. Halperin feels this is the last straw in their relationship.

Monday. Dec. 7 at 7 p.m. ET – Angelina’s history of mental illness and self-harm & The truth about what happened with Jennifer Aniston
In the third and fourth parts of this series, Halperin talks about the woman Brad chose and the woman he left behind. He claims that Angelina is a cutter and has been hospitalized for blood loss in the past, and that Brad and Angelina did in fact fall in love on the set of Mr. and Mrs. Smith, while he was still married to Jennifer Aniston.

Tuesday, Dec. 8 at 7 p.m. ET – Brad and Angelina as parents
The conclusion to this shocking series takes a look at Brangelina’s relationship with their six children. Halperin accounts a new adoption for Angelina without Brad and Brad’s problems dealing with his children.

ETALK is Canada’s most-watched entertainment brand. Last year, ETALK delivered a larger audience during TIFF on average than any other Canadian entertainment newsmagazine.* Once again this year, it’s all hands-on deck. With the largest entertainment newsroom in the country, ETALK has a fleet of producers, cameras, reporters, and editors working 24/7 to deliver up-to-the-minute Festival news. ETALK will fuel CTV’s overall TIFF coverage by providing entertainment stories to CTV Evening News across the country, CTV News Channel, daily hits on CP24 and CHUM FM radio, and online at tiff.ctv.ca.

As always, ETALK’S coverage provides a unique Canadian perspective on one of the world’s most respected film festivals, including co-hosting last night’s invite-only Canadian Filmmaker’s Party with the Canadian Film Centre.

“TIFF is the Super Bowl for entertainment coverage in Canada, and it’s happening right in our own backyard,” said Morley Nirenberg, Executive Producer, ETALK. “As a result, ETALK is positioned to deliver TIFF coverage like no other broadcast in the world. We want our viewers to experience the celebrity, films, reviews, glamour, gossip, and other Festival news as if they were there in the flesh.”

Canada’s TIFF TV Team covers the festival like no other:

The entire ETALK team – Ben Mulroney, Tanya Kim, Lainey, Traci Melchor, Danielle McGimsie, Jully Black – fan out across the city to bring ETALK viewers the scoop on the not-to-be-missed films and galas. From Colin Farrell to Colin Firth, Michaels Caine, Cera, Douglas, and Moore, to Matt Damon, Chris Rock, and Jason Reitman, ETALK delivers the best and most in-depth coverage of the films screening at TIFF.

The coverage continues at tiff.ctv.ca with film reviews, Festival buzz, extended video interviews, and photo galleries of ETALK’s exclusive photos each day.

FAN ACCESS

As usual, no other show brings viewers closer to the stars. On Saturday, Sept. 12 (time to be confirmed), ETALK opens its doors and welcomes fans to get up close and personal with Drew Barrymore as she shares details on her directorial debut Whip It, starring Canada’s own Ellen Page. In addition to directing, she also stars in Whip It a film about the crazy world of women’s roller derby. Viewers can visit ETALK.ctv.ca for details on audience participation.

In addition to building the Canadian star system, ETALK is making stars of its own. This year, Ben Mulroney and ETALK have a cameo in the film The Trotsky. On Friday, September 11, Mulroney walks the red carpet with the films’ other stars.

ETALK is the only Canadian television outlet to land an interview with Canadian Montreal-born author Ian Halperin, the author of the upcoming biography Unmasked: The Final Years of Michael Jackson, to be released Tuesday, July 14. The week long series MICHAEL JACKSON: REMOVING THE MASK begins Monday, July 13 on ETALK, 7 p.m. ET on CTV (visit CTV.ca for local listings).  The exclusive television interviews gives ETALK viewers the inside track on Jackson’s sexuality, his health, and what was happening behind closed doors in the months and week’s leading up to Jackson’s death.

Monday, July 13 at 7 p.m. ET – What killed Jackson?
In December 2008, Halperin predicted in In Touch Magazine that Jackson had only six months to live. From allegations of drug use, anorexia, skin whitening creams, and a relentless rehearsal schedule, Halperin reveals the truth about Jackson’s health.

Tuesday, July 14 at 7 p.m. ET – Jackson’s child molestation charges
Halperin was able to access court documents and can speak with authority on the accusations, charges, and Jackson’s out of court settlement that plagued Jackson until his death. “It was very important to find out whether Michael was a Peter Pan or a pervert,” said Halperin. “I really conclude unwaveringly that he never molested kids.”

Wednesday, July 15 at 7 p.m. ET – What happens to Jackson’s kids?
Halperin went undercover to get access to Jackson and his entourage as well as Debbie Rowe, the biological mother of two of Jackson’s children. Once it’s been determined who gets the children, they’ll have to figure out where to live. Halperin says Jackson was considering moving his family to Quebec; he had even hired a real-estate agent there. One option Jackson was considering was settling in Montreal to get away from the paparazzi..

Thursday, July 16 at 7 p.m. ET – Jackson’s legacy
Halperin’s book is a sympathetic portrayal of Jackson. In 20 years, he suggests, we’ll only remember the great dance moves, the extraordinary entertainment value, and the music that moved people around the world.  Halperin is also making a film about how the world collapsed in 2001 when Michael’s life began its downward spiral.

It’s the biggest news story of the day, and etalk was the first to discuss the ruling of Proposition 8 with one of the world’s biggest entertainers, Elton John.  Earlier today the California Supreme Court upheld Proposition 8 which bans same-sex couples right to marry.

“That’s just awful. I mean when you see places like Iowa saying yes and there’s now five states [in favour] in America…and California is supposed to be a progressive state it just defies logic to me and I’m very disappointed with that.”

Sir John married his Canadian partner David Furnish on December 21, 2005, in the first day that civil partnerships could be performed in England.

Catch the exclusive interview with Elton John tonight on etalk, the Most-Watched Canadian Entertainment Newsmagazine, at 7 p.m. ET on CTV (check local listings on CTV.ca).

Monday, April 13 7 p.m.

Dog Riverites take over the eTalk store-front studio at CTV headquarters in Toronto at 299 Queen Street West. The entire cast will have a rap session with Tanya Kim, Ben Mulroney and fans about the laughs, their most memorable moments, and what CORNER GAS means to them.
