eTalk eFlash: JUNO Awards Host Russell Peters Does Leno,

Tonight on eTalk — Hot on the heels of the announcement naming Russell Peters as host of CTV’s 2008 JUNO Awards broadcast, the Canadian comedian is set to appear for the first time on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno when he performs tomorrow night. The program airs Friday, Feb. 15 at 11:35 p.m. ET on A-Channel.

The internationally renowned comedian hosts The 2008 JUNO Awards broadcast on Sunday, April 6 on CTV. The Ontario native performs Saturday at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles before heading to Australia to perform a sold out show at the Sydney Opera House. Peters consistently sells out theatres and arenas around the world and recently became one of only a handful of comedians to ever headline and sell-out New York City’s Madison Square Garden.

eTalk eFlash: Degrassi Star Out of the Closet and on the Cover of fab Magazine

Degrassi Star Adamo Ruggiero who plays gay teen Marco on the hit series Degrassi sets the record straight about his own sexuality in an eTalk exclusive tonight at 7 p.m. ET on CTV. It’s the first time Ruggiero has spoken openly about the parallels between his real life and his on-screen character.

“I didn’t plan it that way… maybe it’s life imitating art… Degrassi let me do something real and I kindof feel like I’m living proof of what the show was working to accomplish.”

Degrassi returned this week for its 7th season this past Monday at 7:30 p.m. ET on CTV.

In a two part interview, Ruggerio talks to eTalk’s Tanya Kim about coming to terms with his own sexuality, revealing the truth to his own family and posing for the cover fab Magazine – Canada’s gay scene magazine. Part two of Ruggerio’s interview will air Thursday on eTalk with exclusive behind-the-scenes footage from the fab Magazine photo shoot.
