ENTOURAGE2013Mark Wahlberg has given a few details regarding the forthcoming Entourage movie.

The actor, who executive-produced the series, said they hope to avoid making something similar to Sex and the City 2.

“We’ll start shooting around the end of the summer,” Wahlberg said.

“It’s never finished. We never wanted it to end, and we’ve always had people complain the episodes are too short, but it got tricky. ‘Sex and the City’ did a great job on the first movie, but it’s tough.

“If we get back to what people really loved about the show which is the guys… over the years they developed great relationships with female characters, but it was essentially about the guys… so we’re going to get back to that. If we don’t do it bad, I think we’ll be ok.” Continue reading »

Entourage executive producer Mark Wahlberg has vowed to pursue a film version of the popular series.

Wahlberg told Entertainment Weekly that the cast and crew are keen to get the ball rolling on a movie based on the dramedy following its final season.

“We have one season left on TV and then it would probably take place after the finale,” he said.

Wahlberg believes that the TV series would transfer well to the big screen.

“There are places to go. I’m still here all these years later, aren’t I? My story didn’t end in my 20s.”

Wahlberg went on to say that a movie wouldn’t be made “ if we don’t have a good script.”

HBO has officially announced that the end of Entourage is near.

The series, which follows actor Vincent Chase (Adrian Grenier) and his crew around LA, will come to a finish mid-way through next year.

A shortened final season run has been ordered by HBO which could be as little as six episodes which will take place after the current seventh season.

“Next summer will definitely be the final season,” HBO programming president Michael Lombardo confirmed over the weekend.

There were hints towards the possibility of series creator Doug Ellin writing an Entourage film but due to Ellin’s commitment to other projects he is pitching to the network this may be sidelined.
