Global’s Entertainment Tonight Canada today revealed details surrounding its red carpet Festival Central gala event in celebration of both its sixth birthday and the 36th Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) on Tuesday, September 13th.

This year’s birthday festivities move to King Street’s sultry and swank Spice Route. The private location – complete with a breathtaking outdoor patio – will roll out the red carpet for the Festival’s hottest celebrities to saunter down before joining the city’s tastemakers and culturalites inside the party.

“We’ve built a reputation for throwing some of the biggest and best parties during TIFF and this year we’re continuing our winning partnership with the Liberty Group at a stunning venue and coveted location,” said Tamara Simoneau, Sr. Executive Producer, ET Canada. “We have had six amazing seasons and are launching our seventh starting with unparalleled coverage of one of the biggest film festivals in the world.”

In addition to the Festival’s most buzzed about birthday party, ET Canada will bring viewers one-on-one interviews with Hollywood’s elite from two different locations this TIFF.

As the official media partner of the exclusive Nikki Beach lounge – which will transform the rooftop of the TIFF Bell Lightbox into a dazzling environment the event brand is famous for – hosts Cheryl Hickey and Rick Campanelli will anchor the show from the epicenter of all things Festival while perched above the city lights.

Down on street level, ET Canada’s Studio Lounge will be based at the Intercontinental Hotel on Front Street, where celebrities will stop by for a chat with Canada’s most trusted entertainment news team including ET Canada Hollywood Correspondent, Matte Babel and reporters Kim D’Eon, Rosey Edeh and Roz Weston. VIP guests of the show will sip on Moët et Chandon and autograph custom magnums to be auctioned off for charity.

ET Canada is proud to partner with some of Canada’s top advertisers this Festival including primary sponsors Campino and Transitions Optical. ELLE Canada is this year’s official fashion magazine sponsor and Moët et Chandon returns as Festival Central’s champagne of choice. Finally, ET Canada brings the party to life once again this TIFF with the help of Liberty Entertainment Group.

We have seen the event grow over the past five years to truly become one of the highlights of the Festival,” said Nick Di Donato, President & CEO, Liberty Entertainment Group. “This year’s event will be the best yet and we look forward to toasting another successful year with our friends at ET Canada.”
