SangitaPatelToronto’s Sangita Patel has been named as the new co-host of Global’s Entertainment Tonight Canada.

Patel will join Rick Campanelli for the six-month period while Cheryl Hickey is away on maternity leave.

Previously a weather specialist and lifestyle/entertainment reporter at CityNews Toronto, Patel has also made appearance son Breakfast Television.

ETCanadalogoGlobal has announced the return of Entertainment Tonight Canada for March.

The Wednesday night show will feature a top-notch roster of Canadian guests including Academy Award nominee and Bomb Girls star Meg Tilly, award-winning actress and Top Chef host Lisa Ray, Holmes Makes It Right host Mike Holmes and Real Housewives of Vancouver star Jody Claman.

Entertainment Tonight Canada today announced the star-studded lineup for its 4th annual ‘New Year’s Eve at Niagara Falls,’ the country’s largest New Year’s Eve party.

The two-hour coast-to-coast countdown hosted by Cheryl Hickey (@cherylhickeyetc) and Matte Babel (@thisisbabel), with the help of Rosey Edeh (@roseyedeh),begins at 10pm (local time) on Global.

Hosted from one of North America’s natural wonders, the year-end celebration will feature performances by some of music’s hottest acts. The evening will start with a bang as Juno Award-winning electro-pop trio Dragonette takes the stage, followed by a high-energy performance by multiple platinum, Juno Award-winning Vancouver pop group Hedley.
