The celebrities continue to test their dancing abilities and compete for the coveted Mirror Ball Trophy.

Citytv’s Monday night comedy lineup kicked off premiere week with solid performances of back-to-back episodes of How I Met Your Mother, which averaged 950,000 viewers (Ind. 2+, national) and 1 million viewers (Ind. 2+, national), respectively.

In the key A25-54 demo, How I Met Your Mother outperformed the first hour of Dancing with the Stars, winning the highly-competitive 8 – 9pm ET timeslot nationally. Compared to last year’s premiere, How I Met Your Mother saw an increase in viewership of 70 per cent in the A25-54 demo. 

The much-talked-about debut of 2 Broke Girls at 9:30 pm ET last night set a record on Citytv as the highest-rated premiere for a comedy series in network history with an average of 964,000 viewers (Ind. 2+, national). 

Premiere week continues tonight with the highly-anticipated premieres of The Biggest Loser at 7pm ET/PT, New Girl at 9pm ET/PT, Raising Hope at 9:30pm ET/PT and Body of Proof at 10pm ET/PT. Later this week, fans can look forward to the season and series openers of The Middle, Modern Family and Revenge on September 21; Community, Parks and Recreation and Person of Interest on September 22; and Fringe on September 23.

The controversy and intrigue surrounding this season’s current headline grabbing cast members Chaz Bono, Nancy Grace and Elisabetta Canalis are heating things up on the dance floor. Season 13 kicks off tonight at 8 p.m. ET, before moving into its regularly scheduled timeslot Mondays at 8 p.m. on CTV beginning Sept. 26.
