Trevor (Bobby Cannavale) aims his Cupid love arrow toward Jack (Mather Zickel), a radio disc jockey with a love for classic rock n’ roll, and one of his listeners, a single mom named Sarah (Alexie Gilmore). On the couple’s first date, Jack and Trevor arrange a performance by Robert Harrison, the lead singer from the indie band Future Clouds and Radar. All is going well until Jack unintentionally disappoints Sarah’s 13-year-old son, Adam (Lucian Maisel) and Sarah discovers a secret about Jack. Meanwhile, Claire (Sarah Paulson) becomes smitten with a handsome statistician who is helping her create a test that matches people up based on their commonality, a concept she readily embraces.

Trevor (Bobby Cannavale) accidentally finds a stack of love letters from Joe (Patrick J. Adams), a young soldier and one of Claire’s (Sarah Paulson) patients, written from Iraq to Robin “Peaches” Peachtree (Aubrey Dollar, WOMEN’S MURDER CLUB), his unrequited high school love. Trevor wants to reunite them but when Claire realizes what Trevor is doing, she tells him that he’s setting the couple up for failure, since she knows a secret about Joe.

After Claire’s (Sarah Paulson) apartment is broken into, Trevor (Bobby Cannavale) realizes that locksmith and ex-jewel thief Tommy Brown (Adam Kaufman, WITHOUT A TRACE) is in love with Paula (Shirley A. Rumierk, COOL IN YOUR CODE), his parole officer. Trevor tries to get them together, but Paula doesn’t believe criminals can change. Claire finds herself relying more on Trevor, blurring the boundary between doctor and patient.

They are compatible in every way until Hallie discovers that Clint is a republican and she breaks off their promising romance. Meanwhile, Claire’s (Sarah Paulson) free-spirited mother, Liv (Julie Hagerty, AIRPLANE), a woman with a lust for love like Trevor’s, moves in with Claire after yet another breakup with her latest boyfriend.
