The former Flashpoint actor is filming both in Vancouver and says he’s getting used to hiding future plot details from fans.

“Everything is watermarked; you get pieces of information but not all of it,” the gravel-voiced Dillon told TV Guide Canada. “You’ve got to sign a contract that you won’t disclose any information. Flashpoint seemed so open. We were all over Toronto and we’d been there for years. You could answer any question with any fan. Here, it’s like everything’s a f—ing secret. The Gemini-winning Flashpoint actor will join the Showcase series for a multi-episode arc to play the CEO of a corporation with a mysterious past.

In the episode titled “Second Truths,” Kiera (Rachel Nichols) becomes involved in a baffling, unsolved serial killer case. Remembering she had studied it at CPS academy in
2077, she plans to use her intel to track and stop the killer. In pursuing the killer, Kiera finds her biggest obstacle to be Carlos (Victor Webster).

Dillon’s first appearance will be on Sunday, June 2 at 9pm ET/PT.

continuum2013The chance to play a strong female character was the driving force behind Rachel Nichols’ decision to join Continuum.

The actress says she was drawn to the character of Kiera because she feels there aren’t a lot of female characters like her on TV.

“You know I started reading the script and I was about 10 pages in and I thought, ‘Holy cow! I have to play this role’”, she told TV, eh?.

“Because there was everything: she’s smart, she’s got a family, she’s travelling in time, she’s doing fight scenes, she’s forging her way 65 years into the past. There were so many elements to the script and I just thought, ‘Wow man, there are not a lot of female characters like this on TV.’ There are not a lot of female characters like this in general.” Continue reading »

Reunion Pictures, in association with Shaw Media, announced today that production has started on Season 2 of Continuum, the original one hour drama-action series about a policewoman from 2077 who travels back in time and teams with a present day cop to track down escaped convicts from her future.
