Mosaic Entertainment has announced the debut of its third season of the acclaimed original series CAUTION: May Contain Nuts, a sketch comedy show applauded for its skewering of sacred cows.
The third inaugural episodes featuring guest stars Graham Greene, Adam Beach, and Nathan Fillion, will hit airwaves this month Thursday nights on APTN.
Mosaic is simultaneously debuting a multifaceted digital distribution campaign centered around the CAUTION: May Contain Nuts website, www.nutsonline.tv .
The revamped site will feature an exciting new interactive web Application which features Delmer and Marta, two of the most popular NUTS characters, as online fortune tellers.
Visitors to Delmer & Marta on Love and Money www.delmerandmarta.com are asked to type in a question to Delmar and Marta about their own lives and view a hilarious video response which will have the amateur fortune tellers personally answer the questions based on key words.
Created and produced by Mosaic Entertainment, CAUTION: May Contain Nuts is jam packed with sketches that jump from the wild west to space, from farce to parody to musical comedy all at a break neck pace. The first episode features Oscar-nominated Special Guest Star Graham Greene, (Dances With Wolves, North of 60) who appears in a spoof of the make-or-break-an-entrepeneur reality show Dragon’s Den. The episode has a range of hilarious sketches including a door to door visit from the Jedi Witnesses, a wizard battling a drug problem, and a special song about the love certain men have for big trucks.
Season Three of CAUTION was shot in Edmonton in balmy late May, the first spring shoot for the formerly winter-shot show. Cowboys and Aliens and Combat Hospital star Adam Beach, Castle’s Nathan Fillion, and Heartland’s Shaun Johnston also played with the Nuts this season, joining the ranks of CAUTION’S growing Special Guest Star list that includes such celebrities as Joe Flaherty (SCTV, Happy Gilmore), Tyson Houseman (The Twilight Saga), and Gordon Tootosis (North of 60, Legends of the Fall).
CAUTION has been honoured by a slew of national and international accolades for previous seasons, including two Gemini nods for Best Writing (Season One) and Best Director (Dana Anderson and Bruce Pirrie, Season Two). Additionally CAUTION was given a Best Comedy Program nomination at the Banff World Media Festival Rockies – one of six nominees chosen out of 65 submissions worldwide and competing in the same awards as shows like Boardwalk Empire and Little Britain’s Come Fly with Me. Moreover, CAUTION Season Two received three Canadian Comedy Award nominations, including individual nominations for Howie Miller and Aimée Beaudoin for Best Male and Female Performance respectively, as well as a nod to the entire cast of NUTS for Best Ensemble.
