Bachelor Pad

As summer sizzles to an end, Citytv’s hottest summer series are wrapping up their seasons with dramatic and surprising conclusions.

Next week, one couple walks away with the $250,000 grand prize in the three-hour finale of Bachelor Pad, Monday, September 12 at 8pm ET/PT (7CT, 9MT). During the dramatic finale, host Chris Harrison conducts a candid, exclusive interview with Ben Flajnik, in his first public appearance as the new Bachelor.

Averaging more than 1.4 million viewers each episode, proven fan favourite America’s Got Talent comes to an end as the country’s top act is chosen. On Tuesday, Sept. 13 at 9pm ET/PT/MT (8CT), the final four acts perform live in Hollywood one last time. Then, on Wednesday, September 14 at 8pm ET/PT (7CT, 9MT), host Nick Cannon will reveal this season’s winner in the live, two-hour finale.

In the eagerly-awaited, three-hour season finale of Bachelor Pad, the four remaining couples — Vienna and Kasey, Michelle and Graham, Ella and Kirk and Holly and Michael — are summoned to Las Vegas to compete in the most daring competition in Bachelor Pad history. They will have 24 hours to master a terrifying Cirque du Soleil routine that takes professionals six months to learn. The couple with the best performance – as judged by the panel of Bachelor alumni including Trista Sutter, Jason Mesnick and Ali Fedotowsky – receives roses and a guaranteed place in the finale. The lowest-scoring couple will be sent home empty-handed. Next, the final three couples return to Los Angeles, where the winners of the challenge decide who will join them in the finale. All the former housemates of this season are reunited to vote for which of the final two pairs deserves the $250,000 grand prize.

During the finale, Ben Flajnik speaks to Chris Harrison about his quest for love in the upcoming season of The Bachelor. Earlier this summer, millions of viewers shared Ben’s heartbreak when his proposal to Ashley Hebert was rejected in the emotional finale of last season’s The Bachelorette. Now, Ben is ready to put all the disappointment behind him as he moves forward with his search for the right woman to be his wife. The next edition of the hit romance reality series, The Bachelor, returns to Citytv in January 2012.

Next week, America’s Got Talent comes to an end with the final four acts – Team iLuminate, POPLYFE, The Silhouettes and Landau – performing for the final time in hopes of winning the $1 million prize and the opportunity to headline a show in Las Vegas. Then, in the live, two-hour season finale, special surprise guest stars will perform throughout the night before host Nick Cannon reveals who America has chosen as its favourite act.

Fans of the Got Talent franchise can now look forward to the launch of Citytv’s new original series, Canada’s Got Talent, coming to the prime time schedule in Spring 2012. Auditions for Canada’s Got Talent kicked off this week in Winnipeg with next stops in Edmonton (Sept. 14-15), Vancouver (Sept. 19-20), Montreal (Sept. 23-24), Toronto (Sept. 27-30) and Halifax (Oct. 11-12). Full details, rules and regulations, and sign-up forms are available at www.canadasgottalent.com. Canada’s Got Talent premieres on Citytv in Spring 2012.

As the housemates strategize how to take down the power couple in the house, a new guy has easily emerged as the most unpopular guy in the pad, and one woman shows her true colours. Meanwhile, this week’s challenge is the “Kissing Challenge.” Each guy will kiss the women – and vice versa – then vote for who has the “best lips” in the pad. The winners will be treated to the first one-on-one dates of the season.

Monday, August 15 at 8pm ET/PT (7CT, 9MT) on Citytv

There’s a target on everyone’s back this week – literally. The girls and guys take turns throwing paint-soaked balls at the bulls-eye on each other’s backs, aiming for those they want thrown out of the house. Despite receiving the third rose from Jake and Jackie last week, Vienna conspires with boyfriend Kasey to send Jake packing. The losers face elimination while the winners go on three-on-one dates, either to explore a haunted hospital or to spend the night on a yacht.

Hosted by Chris Harrison (The Bachelor, The Bachelorette), Bachelor Pad returns Monday, August 8 at 8pm ET/ PT (7CT, 9MT) with its most controversial cast to date as 18 unforgettable characters from the Bachelor franchise gather back at the mansion to live together and compete for $250,000 and possibly – a second chance at love.

The infamous wrestler, Canadian Justin “Rated R” Rego; Gia Allemand, who’s fresh from a breakup with Wes; and Kasey Kahl, who once professed his love for former Bachelorette Ali by getting a tattoo on his wrist, are just some of Bachelor’s best joining former Bachelor Jake Pavelka, and his jilted ex-fiancé, Vienna Girardi.

With so many stake-raising elements at play — Vienna and Kasey are currently dating, recent bad blood between Gia and Vienna, a friendship developed between Jake and Gia, and so much more – season 2 is set to bring fireworks, drama, romance and endless possibilities.

Each week the contestants will square off in head-to-head challenges to compete for immunity and the opportunity to go on a date with contestants of their choice. The winner of each challenge will then grant immunity to one of his or her dates with the presentation of a rose. At the end of each episode, the contestants will vote amongst themselves – the men will vote off a woman and vice versa – to determine which cast members will be eliminated from the competition.

The 18 contestants set to lay it all on the line for love and/or money are:
