After Detective Michael Britten (Jason Isaacs) wakes up from a car accident, he learns his wife, Hannah (Laura Allen) has died in the crash, but then wakes up a few days later to realize that his wife is very much alive and his son, Rex (Dylan Minnette) died in the accident. Michael goes back to work solving crimes while alternating between realities; one moment he and his wife are grappling with having another child to replace their loss, and the next moment he finds himself as a single father who’s attracted to his son’s tennis coach to fill the void from the loss of his wife.

Beginning today, Global is giving Canadian viewers a special online preview at GlobalTV.com of Awake, its new midseason drama.

Michael goes back to work solving crimes while alternating between realities – one moment he and his wife are grappling with having another child to replace their loss, and the next moment he finds himself as a single father who’s attracted to his son’s tennis coach (Michaela McManus, The Vampire Diaries) to fill the void from the loss of his wife.
