Toronto, ON (January 17, 2008) – She makes it so caliente! MTV Presents: Avril in Mexico as multi-platinum chart-topper Avril Lavigne embarks on a whirlwind three city tour in this revealing original special premiering Tuesday, Jan. 29 at 9 p.m. ET on MTV in Canada.

The 30-minute documentary follows Avril travelling through the urban jungles of Mexico including Mexico City, Guadalajara and Monterrey. Napanee’s own superstar sensation bounces from city to city as she dodges aggressive paparazzi, performs to sellout stadiums, comes face to face with some of her most passionate fans and tries Mexico’s most outrageous delicacies.

This intimate and personal portrait features performance highlights, backstage drama, Avril’s red-carpet schmoozing at the MTV Latin American Music Awards, and captures the day-to-day tour life of this best-selling international artist. MTV Presents: Avril in Mexico was filmed and produced in October 2007 by MTV in Canada’s in-house Field & Documentary team.
