Tyra educates the models about the importance of a portfolio, which will prove valuable when they learn the challenge is to complete a round of go-see’s in Los Angeles. Later, the girls are dismayed to learn their shoot will take place at a landfill, where they will wear eco-friendly couture creations by designer Michael Cinco and be photographed by judge/photographer Nigel Barker. Handbag and accessories designer Lana Marks joins the judges’ panel to decide which girl will be eliminated.

At a shoot with photographer/judge Nigel Barker, the models wear fashions designed for Ford’s “Warriors in Pink” campaign and compete to appear in a national print ad. Next, Miss J. takes the models on a field trip to Universal Studios for a VIP tour, where they are joined by Jay Manuel for a shoot with photographer Miguel Starcevich and GOSSIP GIRL stylist Eric Damon. Daman joins the judges for an extra-dramatic panel, where one of the girls has a total meltdown.

The models spend a drama-filled day getting makeovers with top hair stylist Laurent D and fashion photographer Troy Jensen. At the next photo shoot, fashion stylist and guest judge Lori Goldstein dresses the girls in couture dresses and photographer Pamela Hanson shoots them in small groups, leading to more than one meltdown.

Photographer Mike Rosenthal and Jay Manuel take the models through a dramatic photo shoot with live bees where one of the girls faces a personal crisis. Model and actress Alek Wek joins the judging panel this week to decide which girl will be eliminated.

The network announced today that the AMERICAN IDOL results show will bolster the network’s mid-season schedule along with the return of viewer favourites and eagerly-awaited new series.

In a strategic move, AMERICAN IDOL’s blockbuster Thursday night results show will be used to promote a hot new-lineup of mid-season programming on /A\, including the premiere of Paula Abdul’s LIVE TO DANCE, the second season of the sci-fi drama V, riveting drama HUMAN TARGET, and another drama-fueled season of AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL.

Airing at 8 p.m. ET/PT, AMERICAN IDOL leads a very competitive Thursday night on /A\, which also features THE VAMPIRE DIARIES (returning Jan. 27 at 7 p.m. ET/PT),  NIKITA (returning Jan. 27 at 9 p.m. ET/PT) and PRIVATE PRACTICE (returning Jan. 6 at 10 p.m. ET/PT).

Meanwhile, Wednesdays on /A\ gets a whole new look: after making its debut on CTV, the highly anticipated new series LIVE TO DANCE with Paula Abdul slides into its regular timeslot on Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT, beginning Jan. 19 on /A\. LIVE TO DANCE anchors an all-new Wednesday night line-up on /A\ which also features the riveting drama HUMAN TARGET, returning with all-new back-to-back episodes Jan. 5 beginning at 8 p.m. ET/PT and back-to-back episodes Jan. 12 at 8 p.m. ET/PT; before moving into its regular timeslot Jan. 26 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Book-ending the Wednesday night schedule is another drama-fueled season of AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL, premiering Feb. 23 at 8 p.m. ET/PT with Cycle 16.

Tuesdays on /A\ sees the return of last Fall’s #1 new show for A25-54, V, beginning Jan. 4 at 9 p.m. ET/PT following HELLCATS (returning Jan. 25 at 8 p.m. ET/PT).

Also joining the schedule is the Canadian science fiction-fantasy television series SANCTUARY. Created by Damian Kindler (STARGATE SG-1), the series joins /A\’s Monday night lineup beginning with Season 1 on Jan. 3 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

After a season filled with model shenanigans, the final two remaining girls, Anne and Chelsea, are shocked when each of their parents fly to Italy for a surprise visit. Later, the models shoot their CoverGirl� commercial and print ad before meeting with Ian Bart of IMG Models. At the final runway challenge, the girls strut their stuff in Roberto Cavalli designs, before the Italian designer himself serves as guest judge at the final panel to determine who will become AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL.
