Shaw Media experienced incredible ratings wins across some of its most popular specialty channels, with a jam-packed night of new and returning series.
On Tuesday evening, eight of the top 10 non-sports programs in the key adults 25-54 demographic were Shaw Media series.
History Television’s unstoppable line-up of big and bold real-life entertainment is off to a strong start this fall, as the channel won Tuesday night across all key demos (excluding sports).
The season premieres of fan favourites Pawn Stars and American Pickers garnered 582,000 and 497,000 (2+) and 295,000 and 263,000 respectively in the adults 25-54 demo.
Viewers were immediately hooked on the all-new, investigative series Brad Meltzer’s Decoded, with 357,000 (2+) and 195,000 (A25-54) tuning into the series premiere.
Hot on the heels of History Television’s blockbuster start to the fall season is HGTV Canada. The channel came out swinging strong with the premiere of the brand-new original series Consumed – an extreme home experiment that challenges Canada’s most overwhelmed pack-rat families to survive for 30 days with only the bare essentials. Consumed raked in an impressive 170,000 (2+) and 102,000 (A25-54) audience.
Brad Meltzer’s Decoded, Season 1 airs Tuesdays at 8pm ET/PT, followed by Pawn Stars, Season 5 at 9pm ET/PT, and American Pickers, Season 3 at 10pm ET/PT on History Television. Consumed airs Tuesdays at 10pm ET/PT on HGTV Canada.
