californicationRobLoweRob Lowe will make a return to Californication for its seventh season.

The Parks and Recreation actor will reprise his role on the David Duchovny-series as eccentric actor Eddie Nero.

Lowe has popped up in six episodes of the series over the past few seasons and his latest appearance will fit into a storyline where he is starring in a TV show based on Hank Moody’s (Duchovny) film, Santa Monica Cop.

CITFThe Inaugural Canadian International Television Festival (CITF) will kick off on November 16 with Bell Media, the Canada Media Fund (CMF) and the Canadian Media Production Association (CMPA) on board as supporters.

The not-for-profit CITF will be the first television showcase festival in Canada and will provide a familiar platform for the public, journalists, broadcasting students, advertisers, and the industry to discover and enjoy new and returning English and French-language Canadian programs.

The CITF will also salute the diversity of the global television community, in acknowledgement of Canada’s expanding presence internationally. On the big screen at TIFF Bell Lightbox, Canada’s top cinema complex, the CITF will exhibit full episodes and retrospectives, as well as previews and other short-form content; while on-stage and on the red-carpet, fans will see cast reunions, Q&As, script readings, and other live events. HappyEndings2013The creator of the cancelled comedy series Happy Endings has not ruled out a comeback.

David Caspe says that an Arrested Development-style internet series is a possibility if no other network picks it up.

Caspe said: “I would never say never to anything. We would always be open to talking about it,” he stressed. “But the only way to move on is to move on. We have other stuff that we’ve gotta do. Who knows?”

KrisKris Jenner’s new chatshow will feature celebrity guest hosts each day.

The announcement was made this week that the show would feature multiple co-hosts throughout the summer, with Khloe Kardashian and Ryan Seacrest among them.

Others will include Kathie Lee Gifford, NeNe Leakes, Morris Chestnut and Tom Bergeron.

The 2013 HOCKEY HALL OF FAME INDUCTEE ANNOUNCEMENT will be made by Bill Hay, Hockey Hall of Fame CEO and Chairman of the Board, along with Co-Chairs of the Hockey Hall of Fame Selection Committee Jim Gregory and Pat Quinn.

Among the first-year eligible players for the Hockey Hall of Fame are Rob Blake, Rod Brind’Amour, Chris Chelios, Scott Niedermayer, Paul Kariya, and Markus Naslund.

StellaSistersTwo young Canadian singers have been promoted to series regulars on the TV drama Nashville.

The 13 and 9-year-old Stella Sisters, Lennon and Maisy, were originally cast to play the daughters of Rayna (Connie Britton) and Teddy (Eric Close) in the pilot and continued to appear occasionally throughout the season.

The pair are the real-life daughters of country music duo Marylynne and Brad Stella and shot to fame through a viral video on YouTube.

They have also found success on iTunes, including their cover of ‘Hey Ho!’ by the Lumineers. Continue reading »

Chen told the American morning program The Talk that it “stung” to hear the comments from Aaryn Gries.

“When I first heard found out that Aaryn [Gries], who is a 22-year-old girl, made anti-gay, anti-black and anti-Asian comments, I have to be honest, the Asian ones hit me the most. I heard about her describing Asians as ‘squinty-eyed’ and ‘go make a bowl of rice,’ ” Chen said. Continue reading »

The comic will reprise his role as Barney’s (Neil Patrick Harris) half-brother James in several episodes of the final season, which is due to play out entirely over the weekend of Barney and Robin’s wedding.

Brady confirmed the news via Twitter: “Just got back from my 1st HIMYM fitting of the season! Can’t wait to shoot on Wed! You may be seeing a little more “James” this season! Yes!”

Brady last appeared on the series in season seven, where he adopted a second child with his partner Tom.

Glover is set to spend more time on his musical career with Childish Gambino.
