Return to the Griffins' version of that galaxy far, far away as their saga continues with the final instalment of the three-part Star Wars satire. Following 2005's "Family Guy: Blue Harvest" and last year's "Family Guy: Something, Something, Something Dark Side," the Griffins reprise their intergalactic roles in an outrageous retelling of Star Wars, Episode VI: Return of the Jedi.

Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane has scored the rights to reboot the classic cartoon The Flintstones.

MacFarlane will produce the series for the Fox network in the US with a 2013 launch date slated.

"One of the first things that I drew when I was 2 years old was Fred Flintstone," MacFarlane told the buyers at the recent Fox upfronts.

While much of the cartoon will remain the same in the reboot, MacFarlane confirmed that some things will have to be updated.

Family Guy and The Cleveland Show have both been renewed by their American network, Fox.

Both of Seth MacFarlane’s animated series will return with Family Guy set to notch up its tenth season while spin-off The Cleveland Show will return for a fourth.

“For nine seasons, our viewers have been cracked up, delighted, surprised and, at times, gloriously disturbed by the mind of Seth MacFarlane — and they keep coming back for more,” said Fox entertainment president Kevin Reilly.
