The show certainly isn’t the behemoth it used to be. It was unstoppable in the days of Jackson, Cowell and Abdul, owning the #1 position in its US timeslot from 2003-2011.

LessThanKindHBO Canada has locked in the return date for Less Than Kind.

The fourth and final season of the comedy will hit screens on Sunday, June 2 at 8pm ET/MT.

“We are so happy to bring the Blechers back for the fourth and concluding chapter of Less Than Kind,” said executive producer, writer and showrunner Mark McKinney.

Bittenpreview640Space has given us the first look at their new original Canadian series Bitten.

Laura Vendervoort (Ted, Smallville) features alongside Greyston Holt (Durham County, Motive), Greg Bryk (Rookie Blue, Combat Hospital) and Paul Greene (Harry’s Law, The Client List) in the series, which centres on the only female werewolf in the world.

The series is due to hit screens in January 2014.

EurekaWith production beginning on the fourth season of Haven, Showcase has announced that former Eureka actor Colin Ferguson has joined the cast.

Ferguson will join the series as William, a “handsome mysterious stranger, whose secret agenda leads him to Audrey (Emily Rose)”.

Season 4 of Haven picks up six months after the devastating events of the Season 3 cliffhanger in which the town was pummeled by a violent meteor storm. Audrey and Duke (Eric Balfour) vanished into thin air leaving an injured Nathan (Lucas Bryant) marooned in Haven. Continue reading »

Motive640CTV has put a smile on the faces of Motive fans after announcing the Canadian crime drama will return or a second season.

The broadcaster announced the news today ahead of their Upfront Presentation, stating that 13 more episodes of the show will be made for the 2013/14 season.

Production is set to begin this summer. The announcement comes with just one episode remaining before MOTIVE’s first-season finale next Thursday, May 16 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on CTV and CTV Mobile.

Update: The Save Bomb Girls campaign has now reached their $4,000 goal.

Fans of the recently cancelled Bomb Girls are showing Shaw Media how to support Canadian-made drama with a highly-organised campaign.

The Save Bomb Girls campaign was launched following Global’s announcement on April 22 that they would not be renewing the series for a third season.

Along with a wonderfully designed website, the campaign also has active Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr pages dedicated to showing the powers that be that fans want more from the Bomb Girls team.

Currently in motion is a ‘Victory Bandanas Campaign’, which aims to raise enough money to fund a shipment of fan-designed blue bandanas to be delivered to the Global offices. Continue reading »

ListenerThe fourth season of The Listener is due to hit screens later this month after a smash hit third season last year.

May 29 will mark the return of the CTV series, which will travel to Vancouver for the first time in the season premiere.

With an impressive Season 3 average audience of 1.2 million viewers, The Listener has achieved year-over-year audience growth every year since it debuted in 2009.

The home-grown hit saw double-digit growth in Season 3 from Season 2 with A18-34 (+32%), A18-49 (+19%), and total viewers (+16%). Last season was also the drama’s most-watched premiere, finale, and overall audience on record for the series. Continue reading »
