How do you feel about Canadian Idol being "rested" in 2009

CTV pulls plug on Canadian Idol

When you read "As a result of the current economic climate, production of Canadian Idol will rest for the 2009 broadcast year," you have to wonder what is really going on.

Yes folks, Canadian Idol, that vestibule of revenue gathering for CTV has been rested due to the *cough* current economic climate and that because ad revenues are taking a dive then the ends don't justify their means.

One would have thought that having Canadian Idol back in 2009 would have been the smartest thing to do. If people aren't going out spending money, are they not going to be sitting in front of their television sets being entertained at home?

And advertisers not wanting to front due to the constant call of recession are only adding to the problem. The only way out is for people to spend money again. Locking the vaults and not wanting to back one of the biggest ratings winners of 2008 is simply put, ludicrous.

Pitchy Mitchy vs the Tams Man

Who is your pick to win Canadian Idol 2008 between Mitch MacDonald and Theo Tams?

Sing Lyrics

What are the lyrics to Theo Tams song Sing?

When ever the sun doesn't shine
when ever the clouds cover up the sky
I'll be there with you
If ever the world doesn't turn
If ever the dreams that we made all burn
I'll still have you

And we'll sing
'til the stardust
falls around us
and we breathe it in
Sing till tomorrow
don't let sorrow
swallow everything

If all of the seasons were changed
And only these hours with you would remain
I won't be afraid
Here in the shade of the stars
Say everything that's in your heart
I'll listen to you

And we'll sing
'til the stardust
falls around us
and we breathe it in
Sing till tomorrow
don't let sorrow
swallow everything

And we're drifting away
over the waves
to where we belong
this is our song

this is our song

And we'll sing
'til the stardust
falls around us
and we breathe it in
Sing till tomorrow
don't let sorrow
swallow everything

Where We Begin Lyrics

What are the lyrics to Mitch MacDonald's winners single?

I used to wander
through the grey sky
slowly floating
on the inside
I didn't even notice
you moved in closer
you showed me heaven
and that's where we begin

In you, I
I can see my whole life
right in front of me
this is where I end
and where we begin
I feel so alive when
I look into your eyes
This is where I end
and where we begin

it's a look
it's a touch
all I need is right in front of me
you are all I need
this is where we
this is where we begin
